"Si no te desafía, no te cambiará"
“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you”
What’s your goal? And I’m not talking about your “maybe I’ll reach it someday but probably not” or the “this is obtainable in a week” goal. What is it that you want to do, that scares you to try, but you are willing to give it your all, regardless of if you fail? This is me chasing my big goal of completing a 5k in under 30 minutes. My current time sits at 30:55 and I know, without a doubt, that I will accomplish this goal, regardless of how many more times I try. Each time I come a little bit closer and every race I attempt to reach my goal and fall short is not a failed attempt. It’s a step in the direction of reaching my long time goal. This is what real transformation looks like.
You see that smile - that wasn’t there this morning 🤣
I woke up not feeling well and my little one decided 5:45 am sounded like a good wake up time as well 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve said it a couple times on here but running makes me a better Mommy 💙 This morning after we regrouped we headed to the gym. E got in a little over an hour with his friends and Mommy got in 6 beautiful and much needed miles 🏃🏼♀️
They weren’t fast miles, they weren’t perfect, and they didn’t necessarily feel good but it cleared my head and when I finished I felt like a new woman! ♥️
Running for me goes beyond the races and goals - it gives me focus and clears all the negativity and anxiety that creeps in some days! 👍
6.10 miles @ 8:53 average 👟 .
¡Ya cada vez falta menos!
¿Nos vemos el 28 de abril en Cancún - Puerto Morelos?

97-year-old runner George Etzweiler is an inspiration. When he dons his lucky ancient green running shorts and runs to the summit of Mt. Washington, he does so not just to stay fit, but to honour the memory of his late wife of 68 years. See "For The Love Of Mary" and 3 other films starting at 3:30 on Sunday, October 28. I’m on the runners 🏃♀️ hiiiiiighhhh haha. Feels so good 😊 My trick is to literally roll out of bed, chug water 💧 and GO! If I let myself think about it too long, I’ll talk myself out of it! It’s almost like you have to be on auto pilot! Plus, I do it fasted so I lose 20% more fat every time! Took me an hour to do 5 miles. Wanna know another trick? Run one way for 30 mins so that you have to run 30 mins back!!

RUNNING 💯 CONSECUTIVE DAYS ✅🎯 Yesterday I completed one of my own little project for running 100 consecutive days. What an exciting, enriching and fun it has been! Looking back on the past 100 days, I feel so fortunate to be able to run 760 kms in approx. 21 cities across 6 countries. I started this adventure on 15th July in Las Vegas, continued it through my summer vacation that started in Vancouver, ran on some of the most beautiful landscapes on the planet location in western Canada (Ice Fields Parkway, Jesper and Banff National Park)
SO WHY I DID THAT?
Over the last couple of months, I have been finding way too many excuses not to run e.g. New Job, Too much work, Long commute, Too many frequent business trips & other personal reasons. I got really fed up with myself and all those excuses & one day I decided to teach myself some discipline & consistency.
What it started as a 10-15 days running streak project to get me back to running often turned into a goal for running 25 days consecutively, then to 50 days and then finally to 100 days (Thanks to my colleague Mette for the last one for challenging me to do 100 days when I was about to reach 50 days). To be honest, its not a big deal to run approx. 8 kms everyday for 100 consecutive days. Whats more challenging for me was to find time, energy & motivation to run everyday in the midst of extremely busy work/travel/personal schedule. Therefore, I thought it would be fun to push myself a bit :) I have been reflecting on what I have gained & learned (other than improving my overall fitness level) during these 100 days of running everyday.
Some of key learnings that I love to share with you all here:
1. YOU WILL NEVER GET TIME BUT INSTEAD YOU HAVE TO MAKE TIME: There were days when it was nearly impossible to find time to run e.g. one day I had to run at 3:00AM to get that day’s run done else I wouldn’t be able to keep my running streak because I had a long-haul flight. Other times due to busy schedule I had to run late in the night and then again early in morning next day so get the run clocked.
To be continued in the comments....
