Things on my table. That’s the little watercolor from yesterday’s video and today I’ve been working on more of these abstract acrylics. I also treated myself to a new book over the weekend, which I’m hoping to start tonight- “The Sound is a Wild Snail Eating,” by Elisabeth Tova Bailey. I honestly don’t know much about it, but the title drew me in on sight, and the description : “The earthly adventures of a woman and a gastropod” sealed the deal. I’m really trying to squeak in painting time this week between LEGOs and other snow-busters, so I’ll hope to keep sharing process and previews in my stories. Stay warm, Midwest! 🐌
“I know that when I pray, something wonderful happens. Not just to the person or persons for whom I'm praying, but also something wonderful happens to me. I'm grateful that I'm heard.”- Maya Angelou ⭐️
There is power in prayer and power in God. Here at PWAP we often find Gods presence through reading. Maya is such a powerful figure in literature and we love what she stood for. She had such a beautiful way of piecing words together and turning them into pure art. .
Where or how do you hear God the most?

Still my right hand woman✌🏼that still loves dress up and dresses over her blue jeans and cowgirl boots covered in mud and cuddling chickens for the hell of it. It’s like the universe was like... “hey girl you need a best friend for life💥- here’s your Ella”

attended uni orientation day yesterday - it still doesn’t feel real! I can’t shake the feeling that it’s all a dream I’m bound to wake from soon. but I learned about some of the exciting things the next 3 years may have in store, and got to meet the lovely @booktopsleeper! so if it’s a dream, it certainly isn’t a bad one

Still proving to be the best purchase ever. This camera will have to go in her baby box. She hasn’t been this obsessed with anything besides her bear... whom she takes everywhere.
Just a girl and her camera, and some adorable piggy buns🙊

We headed to the beach yesterday & met up with a couple of other unschooling families.
What we love about this path is the freedom to choose our days and the natural learning that each moment of those days offers us. There is always something new to discover about our world and ourselves.
My sweet, sweet Eleanor. She's feisty, strong willed, and the most affectionate little lady in the world. For 3+ years, I prayed to get to stay home with her. Last October, my prayers met a "yes" and I resigned from my career teaching HS chemistry to stay at home with her every day. Being a WAHM isn't easy, but it's seriously the best. I miss teaching, but am loving the opportunity to teach my own kiddo 🙌🏼 One of the things you'll see if you stick around this corner of the internet will be fun activities that we do throughout the week. My next post will be all about making rainbow rice for fun sensory play! What's your go to activity when you're trapped indoors?

Anybody have certian rituals they do when they fall ill? I do. Aside from drowning myself in all the oils like thieves, oregano, and RC, I take showers with oils, dress in the comfiest clothes possible (today was babe's hoodie), find the fuzziest blankets to curl up in, and make myself lots of lemon water and tea 🙌 It's the little things that matter ❤

If you had told me even 2 years ago that one day I’d take the only free 2 weeks I have a year for holiday to come to Israel and Palestine I’d have said NÖ way I’ll be lying on a beach somewhere! What a blessing to be seeing this spectacular, confusing and completely disputable countryside - with a local none the less - (turn the volume up for the video 🥰)

Spent the this weekend completely logged off Instagram and snuggled up in my @loft "a little love goes a long way" tee.
When you buy their shirt 60% of the purchase price goes to St Judes. I'm also happy to report that its ridiculously snuggly and goes great with all sweat pants and PJ bottoms 💫 #sponsored#abalancingpeach#loveloft#daintydiscoveries#lifeunscripted
Your everyday surroundings can sometimes be overlooked as a solid prop for a photo. I’ve shot in the Leipors Fork area so many times and have overlooked this flower pot, but was glad my perspective shifted that afternoon for these shots of @laurajayne___ during the first #darlingjulietphotowalk ✨ Speaking of, I’m looking for models, make up artists, hair stylists, venues and/or brands that would like to possibly to create together on the next one! You don’t have to be signed to an agency, but experience would be preferred. Leave a comment below and tell me a little bit about you!

Based on "7 things a child needs to hear" by @joshshipp .
No 6. “This is your responsibility.”
This statement can be translated in so many ways. It should be tailored to a child's age as I can just imagine the look on a 2 year old's face if I were to say “This is your responsibility”.😄
When our girls were toddlers we would all put the toys back in the toy box and books on the bookshelf. I learnt the trick of making tidying up fun by turning it into a game from other mums.🤸♀️ Over time, they associated each object, toy, book or box of puzzles with its appropriate storage space. This made tidying up so much easier.👍
Guidance coupled with repetition i.e. tidying up over and over again helped drive home the message of tidying up after ourselves. Now they are older it has become their responsibility to tidy up after play.
The scope of responsibility has extended to making their beds 🛏, tidying up their room and now helping to sort out the dirty laundry 🧺 at the end of the school week. Our 7 year old, Noré, is the supervisor.😂 #learningoverperfection
Again, it is not always plain sailing but most times our girls do what is required without being prompted. The stickers come out randomly from daddy and mummy's secret stash in celebration of great effort, great work and teamwork.🌟 This helps to reinforce the action, mindset and attitude.👌
“This is your responsibility” can also be applied to emotions. The choice to respond or react to a situation. Helping our girls decide that when someone has or is not being “very nice” we do not behave in the same way. Tit for tat never works.
As they grow older that statement in itself will make more sense. The key is that as parents, we are teaching them to take ownership of their behaviour, emotions and actions irrespective of the circumstance or outcome.😊
Ugh I know so many people who think they are being authentic on social media who are being the farthest thing from it. I want y’all to STOP 🛑😩. Here’s the top 3 Instagram faux pas I see and ways to fix em.
1.) There’s a big difference from sharing your story and speaking to an audience. Instagram is a really personal platform so when people who are working on growing their followings start writing captions to please the masses it gets a little eye-rolley. If you have an announcement or something to share that you want the world to know - we want to know. So be sparring about posts where you are addressing your adoring fans.
2.) Constant positive captions are exhausting. Now we ALL want to be kind and give value to each other, but sometimes people want to see into your life instead of read a 5 minute long epic saga of how to be happy today.
3.) Quit being so polarized. I see tons of people who post stunning flawless content and then one day post themselves crying with no makeup on to show “I’m normal too.” We want the in between moments. Let us into those parts of your life, not just your highs and lows. ❤️
This is NOT a specific call out, I just want to help you all be your gorgeous unique selves and stop doing the same crap you see the other Influencers doing because the world needs YOU, not this bullshit. Fake it til you make it, but never fake your brand.

This month we decided to reclaim romance. 💕
For us, this is very much about falling back in love with daily life.
This week, we’re looking at using our favourite things, not saving them for special occasions!
What special thing could you use to spruce up your day-to-day?
Blog link in our bio 💕
When I finally crawl out of bed on this snow day (again), the oldest three have gotten Violet out of her crib and are watching TV in the boy's room. I found this boy working in silence in the kitchen. He's my absolute favorite. Real life, y'all. Dirty dishes, old Valentine's flowers, dark kitchen, sick kids, and a now empty jar of peanut butter. Finding this 2 and a half year old making his own pb sandwich made my week 10 x better. #tejongrown#thorlijah
Call me crazy, but this is by far my favourite stage, sleep deprived and all.
It goes by far too fast. I’ve let the small things go, my laundry will pile a little higher this time, and we may just be picking clean dishes from the dishwasher, those things can wait and they will. As for this girl, I already see her little cheeks filling out and baby blues more each day.

C’è tutto di me.
Ecco, l’ho detto.⠀
I can barely handle my emotions when this little guy is holding onto my finger. It is really starting to hit me how this little man won’t always be little and the “lasts” of things are always happening. When will be the last time he holds my fingers? When will be the last time I pick him up? Ugh, I’m just going to stop dwelling on him growing up and focus on the present and how wonderful this all is! Does anyone else think of all this stuff? xx

There will be obstacles. There will be trials and challenges. Disappointment and suffering will come. Yes, there is pain. But ultimately beyond that, greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. You can overcome all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you. Because the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives within you. Keep moving forward. There is abundantly more ahead than you could ever ask, hope, or imagine. God has complete confidence in you because He knows you were made for this and so much more. ✨
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what God has prepared for him. - 1 Corinthians 2:9 #chosentoreign 📷: @andrearhowey

“What if I fail? What if I’m not enough? What if it’s already been done and done better?” These are some of the negative limiting lies I’ve accepted as truth. Now I’m choosing to change the narrative: “What if my voice is exactly what she needs? What if this is immeasurably more than I could ever ask, hope, or imagine? What if everything I’ve gone through is preparing me for what I asked for or more?” ✨
When it comes to our destiny, we do not want to fast track a process that is just going to take time. Because we live in a social media world we are bombarded with other people’s edited and filtered highlight reels that constantly hit us with comparison and envy. Don’t miss the meaning of this moment and the training in this season of your life because you were too busy scrolling through someone else’s Instagram. We can so easily miss the moment because we think God has forsaken us when He doesn’t upload our destiny like an IG post and take us to where we think we want to go. I’m learning most places I thought I wanted to be and positions I wanted, I really didn’t. My plan would have limited God’s design for my destiny. His vision is beyond what my eyes can see. Every “no” from God leads to a greater “yes” yet to be revealed. Just because your dreams don’t develop overnight doesn’t mean that it isn’t happening. You cannot out dream our God. His ways are always higher. His thoughts are higher. Every word of God is sent on mission. When God speaks a word over you it comes with the very power to perform it. Trust the One who preordained the process. You are right on time. You will fulfill the call of God over your life. ✨ “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” - Isaiah 55:9-11 NIV #chosentoreign
It may be Saturday, but we’re all set for a busy day of errands and admin. Only wish I’d had the foresight to pack a snack. These rose and pistachio shortbreads would have done very nicely!

A confident woman makes no time for negativity, drama, or manipulation because she is centered in Christ. She does not compete or compare herself to others because she is fearfully and wonderfully made. She rises above the crowded race and choses God to lead her down the narrow path. She celebrates the success of her sisters because she is anointed and equipped for a calling all her own. She is salt and light unto a dark and starving world. She is confident because she knows the One who has called her by name. She knows who she is because she knows Whose she is. She is chosen to reign by God to bring the Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. #chosentoreign ✨
