May this Holi be filled with colours and happiness and gujiyas! 😊
Hailing from Kerala, I have never played holi to the extent the north does and it took a visit to Uttarakhand to know what holi means to this part of the country. And now that I am a Delhi-NCR dweller, I get to enjoy a holiday and watch holi being celebrated with fervor. And while colouring each other black and blue and bright hues are fun, I am more of an enjoy-the-food-and-drinks kind of a person! Especially love gujiyas 😅
So today, I plan to watch people throw colour and water and anything else they decide to throw at each other from the safety of my balcony and have some good laughs and eat whatever I please!
What do you plan to do? 💥
Happy Holi and Happy first day of Spring 💙💖❤💚💜💛 Coincidence? Not so much, as Holi is celebrated when the fields are in full bloom. Since India technically does not have “Spring” as a season, Holi is India’s way of welcoming Spring!
Managed to squeeze by at the last minute with something for Holi 😀. Whole-wheat and almond malpuas sweetened with jaggery. Crispy edges, soft centers and very delicious. Recipe now on the blog and direct link in profile. Happy Holi to everyone celebrating!!
