Now that the holidays are over I can shift my focus back into my mini shop. Tomorrow I'll build a new microwave cover/shelf. Then on to my long overdue outfeed/workbench. I'll post updates as I make progress.

New week..... New program..... New positivity and motivation coming your way to finish this year STRONG! I am back in the shop bitches! Prep week is only 15 minute workouts but holy hell they are NO JOKE!
Being back with my favourite trainer feels perfect because the last couple of weeks have forced me to dig deep, I was pretty MIA for most of last week as I dealt with my long time co-worker and friend leaving for another job and grieving with some extended family over the death of their baby daughter. It was a reminder to live each day to the fullest and never take anything for granted because tomorrow is never promised.

Shift Shop: Proving Grounds: Speed (607)
All the 💦💦💦💦💦! I’m toast! I added 35 points to last week’s score (93 points higher than the first time). Then I did a Transform: 20 workout thanks to @lorimiggins who did a zoom call to share it with us. Holy moly that was hard. Especially after Shift Shop!

Day 600 in the books! I was so focused on beating last Saturday’s strength score that I completely forgot today was day 600! I beat last Saturday by 42 points today. I beat last week’s PG score by 100 points combined. I’m completely floored!

Holy Moly! I increased my score by 58 points. That is beyond comprehension! This just shows me that I need to trust the process. I am loving the Proving Grounds aspect to Shift Shop.
It's no secret I love my morning shake. 🥤

It's more of a love/hate relationship.

Two more #thingsthatwork recycled mustard bottle (wood glue is ssooooo much more affordable by the gallon) and the silicone glue brush (bought at the grocery store on clearance) I find that cutting down the “bristles” gives better control - just let the glue dry and easily pulls off in one chunk - usually. #makerlife#shoptips#woodglue#backintheshop. 😁👍

Did I hear messy hair is a sign of a good workout? Or did I totally make that up? 😂😂 Well speed 35 sure did a number on this mop tonight. 🤦♀️🤣🤣 I got home, changed, drank my energize and got to work.
And you know what? I am happy I did it. Ate a healthy dinner and now I'm relaxing with the kitties. 😻

Today that little voice with excuses tried to sabotage me. I really didn’t want to work out today. But when you have completed 596 consecutive workouts, there’s no way you’re missing #Day597!
We all have excuses; it’s how we handle them that helps us thrive or sabotages our progress.

Grass pickers are getting better.
Also, those single leg hops gave me alot of trouble on my stroke leg. My turn is stil not there Buuuuuttttt.......I hopped on my left legggg!!!!! 😯😀🤩 I know some of you are like okay? You hopped? Been missing all the IG folks, just now recovering from the past few weeks of traveling and loaning out the shop for school projects.
I'm prepping some large (18"+) bowl blanks. Birch, red oak, and white oak with a little spalting. Don't have anything that will turn these yet, but better to be prepared for when I do. Can't stand to see good wood go to waste.
Day 1... For the third time 😏. It's all good. Sometimes things happen that keep us from seeing things through. Maybe it was timing. Maybe it was just "stuff." But... Did you give up or did you try again? (I'll be honest. Some things I decided to pass on, but some things I keep working on... like this program.) The thing is I know I can do this. The last time I was so psyched for it, but then I got sick 🤒. I actually hesitated trying it again because I was afraid 😟 I'd get sick again. Silly, right? Yeah, most fears are.
Do you let your fears keep you from doing things; things that may challenge you, things that may help you advance in your career, things that you really want to do but just don't?
I'll tell you straight up taking these before pics is super uncomfortable 😕 for me even now. I know I have made so much progress and I'm really happy about that, but I still see the old me when I look at them. I see the flaws and the things I still need to work on (like my attitude 🙄.) But even though it's scary, and makes me feel icky 🤢 I do it anyway. Why? ~Accountability (I have a better chance of success the more I hold myself accountable) ~Because I'm a coach, and how can I ask my challengers to do something I won't do myself? ~To track my progress (There's nothing more telling than seeing those before and after pics...Clearly y'all can tell there's no editing in my pics, right?) ~For you... Because I know you are watching. Maybe you just want to follow me in my journey and cheer me on. Maybe I motivate or inspire you. Maybe this post is the one that makes you say today is the day you start your own journey.
I have my reasons for sharing and you have yours for following along. Whatever your reason... Thanks for being here. I appreciate it.
