The ultimate “G” squad - maybe that stands for goose who knows lol
What a weekend! Met some random chicks from the Gram, swore I was going to get catfished. 😂😂 They ALL ended up being some legit boss ladies in the hunting department!
We got ourselves an air bnb in unfamiliar territory and scored ourselves some sweet private & public spots to get our guns dirty!
Despite a few plans falling through, some weather changes and birds playing hard to get - these ladies stuck it out, stayed positive, and we put our heads together to create a successful FUN trip full of shenanigans! And we even made some new friends with the locals!
Ended up with some geese, ducks and even a couple wabits! Should make some yummy stew and poppers.
PS. New album dropping soon! Duck Duck Quack!

“I do not hunt for the joy of killing but for the joy of living, and for the inexpressible pleasure of mingling my life, however brief, with that of a wild creature I respect, admire and value.”

And just like that, waterfowl season 18-19 has come to a close 💙🦆
The secret is out! I’ve been really excited about the release of the new @sitkagear women’s waterfowl line. Women are the fastest growing demographic when it comes to hunters and our gear should grow as well. This is a whole waterfowl system designed by women for women. Here are the pieces included:
-[Next to skin]
Core Lightweight LS
Core Heavyweight Bottoms
-[Insulation/ Mid Layer]
Hudson Bibs (with drop seat)
Hudson GTX Glove
This is another game changer for female hunters everywhere. Where innovation meets technology. Now we can worry less about our comfort in extreme elements and focus more on the hunt. I’m proud to work with a company that is always changing and improving the way hunters hunt. If you have questions on any of the pieces feel free to ask me or any of the other women involved in the design, the testing, or the release.
(All these photos were taken by me. Feel free to share about the new line but please credit if you share ☺️)
Family that hunts together stays together.
The game plan couldn't have worked more perfectly when my brother and I shot these teal. We have a pond that is right by our cabin in camp at our lease. We were sitting inside taking a short break after coming in from deer hunting that morning before heading back out to go shoot some ducks. I looked out the window and saw one of the teal sitting on the water. It was just the one drake at first. We were keeping an eye on him through the binoculars while getting our gear ready as fast as we could to go bust him. Then I saw another drake fly in and land on the water and paired up with his buddy. Even better! We waited until they swam behind some cattails for us to sneak out the door as fast as we could (the pond is only about 10 yards from the cabin). We snuck aroud the back of the cabin along the back side of the pond dam as fast and quietly as possible. When we got to the bottom of the dam the plan was to sneak up the side as far as we could to the top and wait for them to flush. I would shoot the bird in front and brother would shoot the bird in back. So we ever so slowly worked our way up and peaked over the top to see the water to get a location on the teal. We didn't see them and figured they had already flown or they were directly in front of us on the edge of the water out of sight. We got to the top of the dam and sure enough they were right there! They flushed and we both took them out with one shot right above the water! It was such an awesome moment for both of us not only getting our first green winged teal, but being able to get it done together!
