And just like that, it’s the night before 3rd grade! I am feeling a whole mix of emotions: excitement, nervousness, anxiousness... but above all, I am feeling very blessed. I’m spending my last night before school starts watching The Flash and hanging out with my husband and our pup. So many prayers for other teachers heading into the new year tomorrow, and most of all, the 24 sweet 3rd graders that will walk into my classroom at 8:55 tomorrow morning ☺️ #backtoschool#secondyearteacher
Taco ‘bout the Teacher was a HIT!!! They loved taking a “quiz” to answer questions about me and then searching around the room for the Tacos to find the answers. They now think I’m the coolest teacher ever. 😂😂😂🌮🌮🌮 bit.ly/tacoteach
New project started today, can’t wait to show y’all!
The guy at the register said “are you a teacher, these purchases kinda give it away.” Lol!
Also, I loveeee my new headband from @thehappyheadbandco! Go check out their cute designs!
Loving my new diffuser! Many different functions and even imitates flickering candlelight. One of the items I gifted myself for taking a full time teaching position #younglivingessentialoils#3rdgradeteacher
Working on our I’m Unique Poems! We read Giraffes Can’t Dance and discussed the author’s message and what makes us special and unique. Then we created a little poem and used M&Ms for the contractions of “I’m.” Getting in theme, contractions, and team-building on Day 2. Bam! 💥 bit.ly/uniquepoem

I would especially love all my teacher friends to introduce yourselves. .
My work in progress this week. The classroom was left a hot mess for me, and it’s been a challenge. However, it’s coming together slowly but surely. I plan for simple this year. #3rdGradeTeacher#PublicSchools
So I teach at a year round school. This means I started school at the beginning of July 🍎, taught for 3 weeks 👩🏫, and then we had a 3 week break! 😜 It’s a crazy schedule but I absolutely LOVE it and don’t get burnt out throughout the year because I get three weeks off every quarter. Today was my first workday back in my classroom and I put up the geometry word wall for our math unit starting on Monday! 🌈🎉 I’m super excited to head back to school because I’m refreshed, relaxed, and ready to continue striving to make this a great year for my third graders!! 😎 #iteachthird#mathwordwall#teacherlife
As I start my 15th year of teaching, I’m inspired by these words from @michaelbonner_ “What are you going to do to change your classroom from a place where students talk about they do not want to go to a place where students will love to be for the rest of their lives? That change starts with you!”
My incredibly talented (real life) friend Nikki @nikkiz72185 made these amazing bitmoji welcome decals for her teachers and principal at her school!!! What an amazing way to build school culture! Love it!! ❤️❤️❤️

Reason #347 you should follow Andriana @the_active_educator She does workouts with her littles! A teacher after my own heart! Incorporating movement into the classroom is one of my musts! I love that she does WODs (workout of the day) with her students!
