Thank you so much for this review, @high_lady_elissa! I’m so excited that fantasy readers are taking a chance on my contemporary YA and loving Rob and Maegan as much as I do. Read on for a review and plot summary... #Repost@high_lady_elissa with @get_repost
Hey lovelies!!! Happy Friday! I’m going to geek out a little bit because I never get ARC’s. So when @bloomsburypublishing was kind enough to send me this copy of Call It What You Want, I did an internal (and maybe literal) happy dance! Now you guys know I almost always read fantasy, and rarely read contemporary novels. However, when I found out this beauty was written by @brigidkemmerer I knew I had to read it since I absolutely ADORED A Curse So Dark And Lonely! Guyyys!!! I’m so glad I jumped out of my comfort zone because this book completely sucked me in. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. It was fantastic! •
When his dad is caught embezzling funds from half the town, Rob goes from popular lacrosse player to social pariah. Even worse, his father's failed suicide attempt leaves Rob and his mother responsible for his care. Everyone thinks of Maegan as a typical overachiever, but she has a secret of her own after the pressure got to her last year. And when her sister comes home from college pregnant, keeping it from her parents might be more than she can handle. When Rob and Maegan are paired together for a calculus project, they're both reluctant to let anyone through the walls they've built. But when Maegan learns of Rob's plan to fix the damage caused by his father, it could ruin more than their fragile new friendship ... This captivating, heartfelt novel that asks the question: Is it okay to do something wrong for the right reasons?
I highly recommend checking this book out when it releases in June! •

I did a 60-second video on how *I* write a synopsis, in case anyone would find it helpful. I don’t usually write an outline for my books, but having a loose synopsis is really helpful so I know what plot points I need to hit. Feel free to share! #authorsofinstagram#synopsis#writing#writingadvice
I ran into an issue with insurance refusing to cover a prescription for my son. When they told me how much it would cost without insurance, I burst into tears. Then I remembered hearing about the Good Rx app. It’s free and gives you coupons for prescription drugs. I was able to get both prescriptions for $50, instead of $600. Our health care system is BROKEN. But if you use prescription drugs, I highly recommend this app. The pharmacist said sometimes the discounts are so high that drugs are even cheaper than the insurance copay. #healthcare#goodrx#themoreyouknow
