I love my parents. I would be nothing and probably dead without them. I owe them everything and they are undoubtedly much wiser than I am. However, when it comes to making my life decisions, of course I listen, but I have to make the final decision based purely on my own heart, based on the way the world is TODAY and based on my own happiness. Parents want to protect you under their own definition of what safety and security looked like when they were your age (a stable “proper” job, university qualifications etc etc)... so some parents often end up discouraging their children from pursuing their dreams, by transferring their own fears onto their kids and trying to emotionally control their decision making. You have to make the decision. You cannot go through your life sacrificing everything you are and everything you could be, to please anyone, including the people you owe it to the most, mum and dad. There are so many young people who are unhappy because they’re living someone else’s life in the pursuit of pleasing mummy and daddy. Please please please, go for it, do it, in the long run, you finding your happiness will make them happy, it may just take a little proving for them to believe you.

When nothing is sure, everything is possible.
I can’t tell you how many times people have told me you can’t do this or you can’t do that based on their limiting beliefs. If you listen to all those outside voices but never tune into your own, you will lose. And I’m not talking about that negative/doubtful voice inside of you. I’m talking about the voice that intuitively knows you’re meant for more.
Nothing is a sureshot. There is always risk associated with anything that yields high rewards. Despite all the uncertainty around your journey, if you’re able to stay true to yourself, you’ve already won. Maybe it won’t work out right away. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best experience of your life.

Work hard enough that others see your grind without you saying a word.

Sometimes I sit and wonder: what if my life was on loop infinitely? Would I want to relive the past 35 years of my life the same way? This not only gives me perspective, but it pushes me to live every single second deeply. It’s not about the future. It’s not about the past. It’s about right now. How beautiful the world incompressibly is.

We’re all saints in a way.
Sinners who keep on trying & working for a better future.
Because what is light without darkness.
What is good without its counterpart.
I believe the beauty of life is found in the middle of this duality.

One of the most important things I’ve learned in the past few years is that every day might not be perfect, but you can always control how you react to it. Happiness is a state of mind and gratitude is the seed ;)

That incredible pump you get in your arms and shoulders after destroying a session... that’s the comfort knowing you have given it all you’ve got. Have you given it all today?

Before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away from them. Oh! And you will have their shoes as well 😂

“Live in the present, for what you plan tomorrow or in the future may never come”. These words I hold close to my heart.
Live to your fullest. Be who you are. And embrace today.
