It took a little effort to kick off my work clothes and shoes to replace with my running gear. I cringed thinking about having to run after being on my feet all day. Though the warm temperature called to me. A pair of shorts, a tank top, and a set oh headphones. I took off the door and immediately felt the smile that I’ve been searching for come to my face. The movement of my muscles shook away cobwebs and stresses of the day. This is why I run. This is what I love. Summiting Boot Hill three times didn’t get old either. Each time I found myself slipping more and more into the shade as the sun set. The light changed. Even though this was the same loop three times...it looked different each time. People ask me why I run. This is just one of the reasons. To see the same scenery in a different light, from a new angle each time. Why do you run? #trailrunning#adventure#beauty
Call it a road if you want but if you wade creeks, jump over logs and ditches and get slapped by limbs and briars, its a trail. It was a road at one time going from Odd to Fireco and Willibet, partially explaining why it’s mostly trail now. There are great wildflowers and scenery, making it a great hike or run. It will be one of my favorites now and is 5 minutes from home. #trailrunning#hokaoneone#relive

6 am to rain, still injured, weak coffee and bad attitude
7 am - 5pm didn't get better, if anything it got worse. I started thinking how I was going to ditch todays workout and go straight to get a #donut after work.
Old self would so done that......today, was a small victory. I drove the block and jumped in the pool. It wasn't a great workout but it was what I needed to take the stress off from today's funk.
Getting out of my head and just stepping in faith that I can do this changes the attitude.
