It may be time to start planning another trip to the Maldives I think. I'm starting to crave palm trees and island life!
This perfect villa is tucked away in the middle of the island for the utmost privacy. It also happens to be the cheapest villa category to choose from... yes, that's how good the villas are here!

I still remember one of my favourite afternoons on the Amalfi Coast ... and it was right here in the seaside town of Atrani. It's the more quiet, local neighbour of the overly crowded Positano and Amalfi.
Between you and me, it's an absolute gem! After a long day in the sun we hauled our lazy self up off the sun lounge (took a picture ... this one!) and moved to the little piazza and watched the last of the sun's rays set over the Mediterranean (with an Aperitif of course). Salute !

Ok, so I don't know if I will ever find another hotel pool in Italy as dreamy as this one BUT trust me, I'm going to try!
I will be back in Italy during September but over the upcoming weeks keep an eye out on my stories. I will start to share my highlights and recommendations from the last month in Tuscany, Venice, The Dolomites and Lake Como (pictured here).

On the streets of Roma! 🇮🇹❣️ If you want to see what I did with my 24 hours in this gritty and vibrant city head over to my Stories tomorrow. I will show you how to combine ticking off some of those must see tourist attractions whilst still leaving plenty of time to kick back with the locals indulging in delicious, authentic food and wine. Most Italians will tell you their life revolves around food, wine, family and friends so when you are in Rome do as the Romans do. You know the saying ..... "when in Rome!" Oh and this photo was from my early morning walk .. ciao x

It's been insanely hot here in Italy and although I have been swimming in Tuscan pools, taking dips in Lake Como and relaxing in wellness spas in the Dolomites, what I really want to do is jump into this .... the beautiful turquoise lagoons of the Maldives.
And yes, the water in Laamu's lagoon is really this blue.

Mykonos is always a great idea and when I'm thinking of Euro summers I think Greek Islands, Italy (of course ... I am here now!), Croatia and I have also been dying to get to Manorca and Mallorca.
Where is your ideal summer destination ?
Hope you like this picture from my last trip to Mykonos. It's been whizzing around the internet for some time now, not always with credit ... so I am reposting it now x

When I think of Lake Como it conjures up thoughts of old world glamour and celebrity style, palatial villa estates with perfectly manicured gardens and vintage wooden boats (rivas) dashing around the lake.
I would love to have a summer home here, with George and Amal as my neighbours or I would just be happy to house-sit for them.

It's raining here on Lake Como in Italy so instead I am sharing this sunny picture from my recent trip to the Maldives.

I feel like the beautiful city of Venice is being strangled by tourism. It was hot, crazy, hectic and overcrowded. BUT you can still feel it's magic early mornings and as the sun starts to set, when the labyrinth of canals are calm, quiet with beautiful reflections.
MY TIP: wake up early with the local residents, start your day with them, strolling through the alleys and canals, stop in have a coffee and a chat and enjoy getting lost instead of reaching for google maps!
The gondola experience during the day was like lining up for a ride in Disneyland. So my suggestion is to experience it early evening (pictured here). It's incredibly beautiful.
For those of you sending me DMs ... yes I will put up more tips and suggestions for Italy, on my stories and highlights later x

It's summer in Europe and although I'm in Italy at the moment, I am asked questions about where to stay in the Greek Islands.
So, check my highlights but this photo is from one of my fave hotel experiences in Mykonos.

Tuscan mornings at Follonico.
A place so special, that you feel like you are living there, not staying there.
Every morning we would wake up to the sounds of birds and distant church bells, the aroma of coffee and whatever Fabio, the owner was baking in the oven for us.
Breakfast was then a deliciously slow affair, sitting outside surrounded by vineyards, orchards and the rolling hills of Southern Tuscany.
