Congratulations to our very own Courtney Brandon who, over the weekend, finished her 150th and final hour of continuing education training for the prestigious Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. Courtney has put in a lot of time, effort, and dedication over the past two years to complete the training, supervision, and client hours to complete requirements for the RPT designation. She has traveled near and far to attend conferences, workshops, and soak in all the knowledge about play therapy she can. She has one final step to send in all her paperwork for the formal credentialing!

At KCS we get to witness the passion and compassion Courtney brings to working with children and their families on a daily basis. She gets so excited about adding new miniatures to her collection and values giving children creatives ways to express their inner worlds. Courtney puts in a lot of planning and forethought into her sessions and I am constantly amazed by her level of patience and unwavering enthusiasm for the kids. Play therapy to outsiders looks very easy, but it is actually a lot of work. There is an art and a science to it, it's not just letting kids play. The children and their families that work with Courtney are fortunate to have you in their lives!
