Long-suffering feline, and never before has the tag line ‘freedom is a precious thing’ been more pertinent (he does actually love it in the bag and stayed there for about half an hour, I promise). Picador made 200 of these totes for a recent event and I love them. Sitting at my desk today, battling imposter syndrome and book 2🤞.

    This is one fabulous photograph. I might try putting Primrose in a tote and see what happens. Potentially, velvet paws could turn lethal. 🐈

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @liz_simmonds15 haha! Claude would have lost his shit at me, I know how to select the patient cat 👌

  • @iwritemybike2 16 March, 2019

    Do they have one big enough for a Labrador?

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @iwritemybike2 let me just check *drives to Scotland and kidnaps George*

  • @iwritemybike2 16 March, 2019

    @elizabethmacneal 🐕😊 He's packed and on the doorstep.🐾

  • @molly.aitken 16 March, 2019

    😂 What a picture. Sorry to hear about the imposter syndrome. It's the worst. I've had it too lately but continuing to write and also doing things, especially outdoors, that have nothing to do with writing has really helped. Fingers crossed it passes soon for you 🤞

  • @kriswaldherr 16 March, 2019

    Is your cat a Bengal??? Adorable—and gorgeous bag.

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @kriswaldherr he’s a burmilla - similar family I think!

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @molly.aitken thank you so much! And congratulations on your book deal. It’s only when it becomes stifling that imposter syndrome is a bad thing for me - otherwise it can push me to be better and means I don’t take stuff for granted. But it can be a horrible, critical voice too, especially when trying to write something new x

  • @historyinpetticoats 16 March, 2019

    I loooove the tote. And I adored the book. Will “Book 2” be a sequel or something new? Either way I’m all over it 😍🙊

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @themedievallibrary thank you so much! Book 2 will be something new and standalone, but also 19th century and some similar themes. I’m about a quarter way through it 😬 I do miss Silas though!

  • @kriswaldherr 16 March, 2019

    @elizabethmacneal he looks like my Bengal Finn—similar coloring and blue eyes.

  • @historyinpetticoats 16 March, 2019

    @elizabethmacneal Oh how lovely! I can’t wait! 🤗🖤

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @themedievallibrary thank you! Fingers crossed for... 2021, which feels an absurdly long way off!

  • @the_book_whisperer_ 16 March, 2019

    Love it! The bag and the cat 😍

  • @historyinpetticoats 16 March, 2019

    @elizabethmacneal 😹🖤

  • @molly.aitken 16 March, 2019

    @elizabethmacneal yes, the same for me. It didn't actually bother me much before because I was always like 'well no one's going to read it'. Hah. But you're right, it does also help to know the writing will be read. What a conundrum 😅🙄. Best of luck! Xx

  • @elizabethkaybooks 16 March, 2019

    Oh bless!! Too cute!

    Brilliant pic 😂😻 I love the tote bag almost as much as the kitty lol.

  • @towerhamletsmums 16 March, 2019

    Just don't let the 🐈 out of the bag

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @towerhamletsmums I salute you!

  • @towerhamletsmums 16 March, 2019

    @elizabethmacneal couldn't help it 🤣

  • @elizabethmacneal 16 March, 2019

    @emmas.biblio.treasures haha, this is a very good sign!!
