There's nothing more calming than a rainy, gloomy morning in. I have a todo list that can't be ignored and a due date that I have to meet but still all I want to do is light some candles, make a cup of coffee with Oat Milk and cuddle in bed. I spent nearly 20 minutes sitting by the windowsill doing deep breathing exercises while I listened to the rain drum against the window. I've been having a lot of anxiety attacks lately and those 20 minutes definitely eased the heavy weight that's sitting on my chest. How do you deal with stress and anxiety? I've been doing the same things for years now so I could use new tips.

Not being able to go on Instagram was so weird yesterday. I didn't realise how much of my day is spent on here talking to people, catching up on my favourite accounts, finding and adding new books to my TBR list. I hope it doesn't but if Instagram ever does crash again you can find me on my new Twitter at (HothanJama_) and Pinterest at (Hothanjama). I like to think our little community goes beyond Instagram. How did you deal with the crush yesterday?

Happy Thursday lovelies, I hope you're having a great day 💕 #slowlivingforlife #onthetable #momentsofmine #culturetripbooks #currentlyreading

Gorgeous 😍 I've been dealing with my anxiety a lot lately too. It seems to come in waves and gets worse in the early period of seasonal changes. I try to go outside more and force myself to live outside of myself... I find that I pull all of my thoughts inward when I'm anxious, so I focus on purposefully putting them out into the world. It helps sometimes. 😊

@zagereads I’ve been dealing with the same and can totally relate with going inward too much. I’ve also been trying to just talk more openly and also not cut myself off from plans/friends which I had done in the past. There seems to be always something new to be learned with easing anxiety issues...

@zagereads I do something similar. To relax/meditate, I go outside and walk my dog whilst listening to an audiobook (right now it’s Strange the Dreamer).

  • @draebox 15 March, 2019

@blueshi72 I thought it was my phone too!

  • @lavenderartistbeds 15 March, 2019

Sorry to here about your anxiety attacks. I don't have attacks but frequently get anxious and find that a walk in nature with my dogs is very calming, singing, reading nature poetry with a cup of herbal tea such as chamomile or doing a few yoga stretches helps. I hope you are having a better day. 💙

Deep breathing is so helpful for anxiety. I also love Tai Chi. Jake Mace has a lot of beginners tai chi exercises on YouTube. It's seriously helpful ❤️

I’ve started using CBD tincture. Took maybe a week of regular use for an overall calm feeling. Take it at bedtime. Helps sleep too. It might help that I’m newly retired too! More time for calm and reading! Best wishes! 😊

  • @itsmattwilks 17 March, 2019

@entirelysubjective such an amazing insight! Waking up early is something that’s weirdly made me incredibly present! Maybe I should try yoga🤷🏻‍♂️

  • @entirelysubjective 17 March, 2019

@itsmattwilks I love yoga so I’m definitely an advocate. Its like working out without realizing you’re working out. I’m usually full of energy after (and only a little sore the next day 😂 but that’s lessening the more I go)

  • @itsmattwilks 17 March, 2019

@entirelysubjective hahahaha I love that😂 And also your insta handle name is amazing!

  • @entirelysubjective 17 March, 2019

@itsmattwilks eeee thank you ❤️ my brain always seems to forget it knows anything when you have to make up a username, gives me flashbacks to AIM 😂

Ooh would you tell me a bit about the Italian Teacher? That cover art is beautiful! Just read a few of your posts back-to-back, hope you're feeling better after struggling to cope with the news. Glad to hear you've got such a strong support network; it sounds like you're doing great things to cope with both it anxiety and the grief.
