Day 304 🏃🏻‍♀️ 10k progression run done ✔️ 8:17 ➡️ 6:56/miles ☺️ so glad it’s done, not because I wanted the run to be over but because I proved to myself I could do it. I don’t know why but I keep doubting my abilities at the moment 😕 I need to get out of my head and stop psyching myself out before any kind of run that isn’t easy or steady pace.     Absolutely all the time I doubt myself if I have to run “fast”. I have found running with a club has helped though, as I just get on with it (although on the way to a session I still stress , but a lot less than previously🤣) Plus there are always words of encouragement from other people x

    @thismummycanrun I was the same all morning. I kept telling myself that paces I wanted to hit would be too quick and unsustainable even though I’ve ran them plenty of times before 🙈

    @running_smithyspeed very true. I don’t run with a club but I use Parkrun for similar reasons. There’s no way I could go out and run 5k in 20mins by myself. But at Parkrun its much more likely to happen 😂

    I can be bad at doing that, I’ll be halfway through a run, away to go up a brae and doubt that I won’t make it, even though I’ve did it a 100+ times before 🙈. Yesterday I did some hill sprints and steps and worried I wouldn’t manage though I did the same thing a fortnight ago.

    The Garmin coach thing I'm following atm had me do 5x 1km @ target pace (roughly 6min/km) recently and I was dreading trying that, in the end I ended up doing 4 of the 5 way quicker than it asked, which is a problem in itself because when I tried to slow down I did so too much 🙈 I suck at pacing! 😫 It's far easier to keep an eye on heart rate than pace I find.

    @cococlo_95 thank you ☺️ I’m just very stubborn. I set myself the goal of running 365 days and that’s what I’ll do. As I’m doing it for charity that definitely helps keep me motivated as I don’t want to let anyone down

    I keep my goal in mind - eg. I am training for a half marathon and If I don't do the training, I won't finish lol. One other thing I do is pretend that either i'm being chased by someone or that someone is in need of help. And lastly, looking at my Strava or Instagram and seeing how much faster everyone else is lol - it's inspiration! You're inspiration!

    I always start like this but the more I go on I believe I can do it and therefore do! I am no where near your standard and for me those little bits extras mean the world to me and that's what I focus on! Next time it will be 3.5 miles in one go then 3.75 etc! You are amazing and believe me when I say inspirational
