I think it’s always important to show the good, bad and the ugly. It’s easy with social media to want to only show your best side, but to me that’s not being authentic. Life is not always perfect or beautiful, especially with horses! Even more so when you are working with horses that come with a lot of baggage from there past. This is especially true with Finery. Here is a moment where she is feeling trapped and confused so she thinks up instead for forward. With her it’s extremely important to stay relaxed when she is like this because if you become tight she becomes explosive. I just stay light, positive and keep softly helping her to think forward. It was definitely an interesting ride to have no stirrups 😂, but it all worked out and she was great by the end.

I wish I could learn to stay calm in situations like these, but I always tighten up. It always feels worse when you are sitting on the horse, than what it actually looks like. Am much better than how I used to be but still so much room for improvement.

Do you think she's confused about the collection with just a nose band? Have you tried to canter her on losefrien

  • @lou.n.me 9:30 AM Nov 21, 2018

Have you ever had her pelvis looked at? Or massage? My horse did this and he needed a horse chiropractor!

@leish_16 laugh it off. Keep your mental calmness by having a ‘let it go’ attitude. Tension first starts in our minds, then influences our body actions. ♥️🇨🇦♥️

    *my horse does that too

  • @crippling.editz 1:12 AM Nov 26, 2018

In my opinion, that really wasn’t much but you still didn’t even correct the horse right away. You didn’t handle it completely correctly because you did not correct the horse 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @_ahu_kr 7:27 PM Nov 26, 2018

  • @jenni_harding 9:15 AM Nov 27, 2018

I love this video 😻 You can see Finery thinking and trying her hardest to understand what it is you want and you are encouraging her and helping her figure it out 🙌🏻😻

  • @morgon1066 9:25 PM Nov 27, 2018

Very nice Lavade. You are amazing, just helping her through that moment rather than getting scared and 'correcting'.
