Robert & Jordan said they came to Alberta for a destination wedding that they couldn’t get back at their home in Texas!
As the giant fluffy snowflakes fell on the vibrant Fall foliage, these two Texans were blessed with the crossing of two seasons in one.
Although it was a chilly day, Mother Nature made it a memorable one to say the least 🧡

Morganite...my absolute favorite gem, and the perfect centre stone for engagement rings! 💎
This gem is said to bring healing, compassion, assurance and promise.
With its gentle pink energy, Morganite attunes to the heart and the Heart Chakra.
It cleanses the emotional body of stress and anxiety, old wounds and hidden traumas, and enkindles lightness within the spirit, as if a burden has been lifted.
Always my favorite shot of the bride, the lash shot. Look at those incredible eyelashes. Just gorgeous and even more so in black in white.
Taken while second shooting for the talented @greylilyphotography.
Feeling extremely grateful today for all of my new/old clients, and for all the support I’ve been getting on my photography journey!
I want to let you guys all know my, WHY.
•Why I am I a photographer?
•Why do I love it so much?
•Why does picking up a camera and pressing a button make me so happy?
Well! The truth is, I suffer from ANXIETY. •
In the past 2 years, it has gotten worse and worse, as a result of the passing of my amazing Mom.
Getting up in the morning can be a HUGE struggle, I sometimes dread night time, as a movie reel of old memories play through my mind and always ends in tears
For the longest time I couldn’t figure out what would make me feel better, or help at least, until I picked up my camera.
Being behind that lens, and capturing people’s most special moments, is almost like a medicine for me. It soothes my heart, and fills it each shoot I do. It’s almost like making a form of a time machine for people to go back and be in that exact moment, and feel those emotions
Photography has been more than just taking photos, it’s truly been a blessing! I hope that if anyone is suffering with bad anxiety, that you can find your special thing that fills your heart, and brings you to a calm place.
If you can relate or have a similar situation, what are somethings or hobbies you do to make your heart happy? Comment below, I would love to know!

This catering set up is wedding goals! Catering by @greateventsyyc . They are having a wedding open house and tasting on September 29th at Meadow Muse Pavillion. to RSVP email [email protected]
We’re so happy that, despite the chilly weather, Suz was determined to have their ceremony outdoors in her parent’s backyard, where they got married almost 35 years ago 🖤 Future couples! Take a note from these two + try not to sweat the gloomy skies + raindrops. Your photos will be rad + flattering + romantic, people will bundle up, + you will get married in the place you’ve been planning for + dreaming of. It’s so worth it.

` Today my brain is mush.. I've filled it with so much awesomeness as of late and can't wait till winter so I can start implementing some amazing stuff that is going to make 2019 the best year yet! 💜
So until my mushiness is sorted I'm simply going to enjoy the beauty of all the images I've created thus far this year! haha 🔥
How's your brain on this wild Wednesday ? 💕
I got the sweetest message from this couple today, and spent some time remembering what an amazing wedding this was! There may be a few more from the day coming up, because for real. So gorgeous. 😍
For those of you that missed it on my story the other day, I shot my very first surprise proposal and it was everything I wanted it to be and more.
Tracey contacted me almost a month ago about taking some couple photos of her and her boyfriend and their sweet pup Lexi. Little did she know Jacob hi-jacked her plan and messaged me just days after she booked to ask me some questions and see if I would be game to help him surprise her.
We drove out down the Old Banff Coach Road to one of my favourite spots. We started the shoot innocent enough. That is until I took a photo of “both of them standing apart facing the water.” So hipster, I know. But Tracey told me she would do anything for the perfect shot. This was Jake’s cue to get down on one knee behind her. When she turned around she was caught totally off guard.
A few of the phrases that came out of her mouth... “Are you serious?”, “Is this a joke?”, “You actually want to marry me? I’m crazy!” 😂 I love these two already. Oh, she also said “yes!”
Taking a moment outside of the excitement of the wedding party (ok,I may have asked them to take a moment...)This party was just about to get going. As we left there were 4 people pulling some pretty stunning interpretive dance moves. My mom pointed to them and said,”those are ringetters.”- really I never should have had any doubt. #pinebrook#takeabreak#dancepartyready#yycweddingphotographer
Have you always known you wanted to be a photographer? Did you go to school to be a photographer? How did you become a photographer? Are you a full time photographer? Do you have any crazy bridezilla stories?
All questions I get asked regularly!
No I did not always know. I grew up wanting to be a marine biologist. I actually went to university to be a teacher and I have two bachelor's degrees (kinesiology and education). I did teach briefly in England when I lived there. The kids loved my accent and the words I used ha ha. I fell in love with wedding photography through planning my own wedding. It just hit me like whoa this is what I want to do with my life. And yes I sure am full time! I've been full time since 2013. It's kinda a funny story how I made the leap to full time. I was working at lululemon at the time and had worked there for 7 years. I asked for time off at Christmas to go to Montana with my family and they said no and I immediately handed in my notice. It was like this huge breathe of fresh air knowing my life was about to change and I leaped!
Bridezillas...nope not any more! I had a few when I started out but now I only take clients who have a laid back adventurous vibe! Ones that I instantly connect to and ones that trust me fully to tell their wedding story!
Being a wedding photographer is not easy, but man its amazing and rewarding and I'm always learning and growing! It really is my dream job and I'm grateful every day!
Also, big thanks to bestie @paisleyphotography for this behind the scenes shot! I don't shoot with second shooters but she helped me out this day cause of my tooth infection so she snapped some rad behind the scenes shots of me!! .
