From Alberta fields to your shower. Have you heard of sugar beets? Sugar beets are grown in Alberta, Lantic is the sole processor of beet sugar. The product sells under Roger’s name and there’s no real difference between cane and beet extracted sugar. The only way to tell this sugar was extracted from beets in Alberta is the sequence of numbers on their timestamp.
Next time you pick your favourite body scrub up remember you are a proud consumers of Alberta’s beet sugar! If you want to learn more details please head to Alberta Sugar Beet Growers website or ask me next time you see me! 🙋🏻♀️ #absugar22

I know I've shared this quote before but it really is one of my favorites. I try to take this one to heart when I'm feeling like my efforts of late haven't been good enough. But I've been going to therapy, seeing my psychiatrist, keeping on my blood tests current and working on my university applications and auditions. I'm doing all of the things I need to do now so that I can bloom 🌺
borderline spring this week but back to arctic weather tomorrow :(

Thank goodness for leftovers! Instead of cooking dinner after work, we were able to play in the snow! We had so much fun building a slide that I pulled my back and she lost her bucket in the snow! #worthit#snowmageddon#friyay#mommyanddaughter
Who here has been chilling + flowing through a group yoga class and all of a sudden - tears. All the tears come falling down. ⠀
I’m not talking about tears slowly falling down your cheek crying...I’m talking the “full on sobbing and trying your very hardest to keep your cry quiet so the other people in the room don’t hear you” kind of crying. ⠀
I have 🙋♀️. It’s happened to me 3 times (this morning included) since 2007 and each time is just as embarrassing as the last.😶⠀
But, do you know what else? Each time it happens - I experience the most incredible emotional release. The feeling is indescribable... but the closest way I can explain it is - a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders... but, one that never returns... almost like a “trauma detox”. It really is so much more - but to articulate it into words right now is impossible. All I know is... it feels daaaaammn good. ⠀
So, has this happened to you? Feel free to comment or send me a DM ✨

You know when you have a trip coming up and it is all you can think about? I'm trying to remind myself to be mindful and present in the work I am doing right now but I seriously can't stop thinking about next week and jetting off to Charleston for an epic weekend conference! ✈️
It’s the weekend friends! What are your plans?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m going to enjoy a glass of bubbly with some pizza for dinner and watch one of my favs, Parks & Recreation. Sometimes relaxed evenings are the best ❤️🥂🍕 #weekendmood
Many on social media have discussed this before - Facebook and Instagram are only a simple highlight reel of one’s life. We only post the best pictures and the happiest moments in our lives.
People see a mother, daughter, wife, writer. But they will never see the argument that had me questioning my motherhood the night before, the breakdown I had managing a household, kids, husband and blog on the side, the anxiety I face as more people come forward telling me what I should and shouldn’t write about or the nights I think I could be taking much better care of my body and my health.
I’m not complaining - life is essentially the good and the bad put together to serve as the perfect balance. We need to accept that there are dark sides to everyone. My life is not as put together and perfect as one may think ... which is ironic I need to say this given I’ve really talked about the low points in my life. It really makes me wonder what people truly are paying attention to. Some refuse to see the struggle and only the highlight reel; there’s this immense amount of pressure to always be happy, be positive and be optimistic.
Life doesn’t work that way, let’s appreciate that real people have real problems. People who push for positivity always, are actually promoting this culture on social media that isn’t real. I’ve shared some of my issues only to be told I should be more positive - if only people knew how destructive that can be. #swipeleft

Finding inner peace can sometimes be difficult, But if you Accept and let go. Now is now. If something negative from the past – something someone said, something someone did – is still on your mind then accept and let that feeling and thought in instead of trying to push it away. When you accept that it is then it starts to lose power. And while the facts may still be there in your head the negative feelings become a lot less powerful. At this point, let that thing go like you are throwing out a bag of old clothes. And direct your focus to the present moment and something better instead.
