Letter to Myself (and possibly you)
The you that’s had a rough week. The you that seems to be under constant stormy clouds. The you that feels invisible. The you that doesn’t know how much longer you can hold on. The you that has lost faith. To you.
You are incredible. You make this world a little bit more wonderful. You have so much potential and many things left to do. You have time. Better things are coming your way, so please hang in there. You can do it.
I believe sharing your voice, especially through telling your story, is one of the most powerful things you can do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here I am a few years ago in Berkeley at one of my very first book readings - before my book, "Just Be" was even published. I was fundraising for a kickstarter campaign to raise the money I needed to get the book out into the world. And I was able to raise $10k by putting myself out there, doing events, having lots and lots of conversations and riding the wave of vulnerability, courage and fear.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The whole experience was pretty scary, but it was also so, so liberating. The support and reflections I received during that time of my life were incredible, and I am so much stronger for it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what story is inside of you waiting to be shared? And what form will it take? A book? A podcast? A talk? A workshop? Let me know in the comments so we can all cheer you on!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I can’t believe I’m sharing this on social media but something tells me I need too . Picture on the left 2016 ... picture on the right current 2019 and proof that depression IS a disease I was in such a confused , emotional and hectic time in my life . Clearly eating wasn’t a priority for me , sleep was my main concern cause that’s the only thing that blocked out reality , depression was my world and not because I choose it to be but because it chose me . People say “oh your not crying your not depressed “ or “ you was just happy yesterday “ but that’s not the thing , the thing is depression is super easy to hide and most people who have it are REALLY good at hiding it because when your at your weakest moment and you know it the last thing you want is for the world to see it too . Depression is wanting to be alone as much as possible , wanting to stay in your bed because leaving your house is just too much , not wanting to fold your laundry because your mind and emotions have literally caused you to be exhausted , sleeping , sleeping and more sleeping , not really wanting to eat but only eating to get the hunger feeling to go away , thinking everyday if you really even matter to the world , depression is all these things PLUS more but guess what ? It’s also conquerable ! Go to that doctor everyone’s recommending stop thinking Medicine won’t help you , I promise you it will . With a little prayer and the right medication you will be able to battle your own demons . I’m living proof 🤞🏼 #depression#depressionawareness#youcandoit
I went into the bathroom to take a picture of Stress Away and Arik followed me in and closed the door. He does this sometimes at night when he's winding down as his way of saying he needs a little break. I plop down on the floor and he takes his spot on my lap. We talk about animals, colors, places, monsters, dinosaurs, vehicles, and/ whatever else until he gets up and asks me to open the door. It's his little de-stress time. He knows when he needs it, and isn't afraid to ask. I love it, it's really special 💙. 💙
Sometimes I wish Stress Away was "situation away". Ya know, the root of the stress. But that would just be too easy. Instead Stress Away helps me clear my head and relax my heart to deal with those issues rationally and confidently. Calm, cool, and collected 😎. Parents need it, spouses need it, people in school, if you have a job, I was going to say everyone does unless you are a hermit...but even hermits freak out at the sound of a knock on the door 😳😂. 💙
Tomorrow is Monday for us, so as we reset and come off of a really great celebration weekend I will be wearing stress away, diffusing it, and when Mike gets home probably bathing in it 😂😂😂. There's no excuse to hide from your problems. You absolutely do not have to live in a constant worried, panicked, or stressed state of mind. Don't allow yourself to believe it's normal. Slow down, be mindful of your thoughts, and choose wisely how you react to things....changing your mindset is half the battle....maybe even 75%. 👊💙

“You can start over at anytime...”
Being consistent with new habits is tough. You may (probably 🙃) fall off the wagon a few times (or a lot💕) It’s ok. Don’t be so hard on yourself and move forward. It will get easier and you’ll get more and more consistent if you keep trying to stick with it. .
Thanks for the inspiration @thebehappyproject 🙏🏼💕
Sin filtro lol, just finished by 20% & I’m so happy!! I haven’t been so consistent in the gym as I should but this is what shows you that nutrition is key! #herbalife#results

Hey Y’all! I don’t get post too many pictures of my back Progress so I thought I’d switch things up!!
The pictures are about 3 1/2-4 weeks apart.

Training Back hasn’t always been my favorite but lately I’ve noticed there’s so many tricks and different variations to activate different muscles. It’s also kinda dope to see how much working your back can change different parts of our bodies.
Hope you’re not worried I will still be posting the ab burnout on Sunday with some tips on how I train them and how I create the circuits!

How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time!
Add sauce if you need to 👍
If you are faced with a daunting situation, get a plan and work on it one day at a time. #youcandoit
Doubts kill more dreams than failure ever will, go out and get it done!
Listen to this ...
People are ALWAYS going to criticize you. Good and bad critics, and guess what? That’s ok ! It’s part of who we are, I get so many DM of people telling me to stop looking and trying to get strong, that I’ll look “like a man” but yet they stay looking at my things, every workout, every highlight, others say I look “skinny enough” but yet ask for fitness advice lol 😅.... So what am I trying to say ? Just be happy with who you are and how you look! You have to be pleased with yourself, just YOU. Always improve and aim for the best, forget the critics, you will never be enough for someone who doesn’t appreciate you. Stay true to yourself, love yourself and the rest will come into place 💪🏻 #aimingtolookStrongAf 😉😜
It's odd to think that we can do all the right things initially and eventually get to a place where those methods are no longer viable. I have done so much to get to where I am at today, yet, if I were to continue to do those things in the same way, I wouldn't grow. I would only maintain my current state. The point of diminishing return. When you have achieved all you can with your current lifestyle, it's time to change. This game is about growth. We must constantly re-calibrate. What got us to where we are won't get us to where we want to go. If you haven't done shit your whole life and you want some shit, you're gonna have to do some shit. If you have done some good shit, but you want more shit, your gonna have to do more shit. That's the way it works. Re-calibrate, readjust, and execute.

These are literally the only 4 ab exercises I have ever done that have stuck around through the test of time. As with all exercises, control is the most important thing, not the weight. We want to do as much weight as we can while we are still in constant control and able to do somewhere between 8-12 reps of each. Slow and steady is the key, not maximum weight.

Do what I did, not what my lovely wife did ❤️ we recorded this so I could show here what she was doing wrong. One of the only ab Exercises I ever really do. The others: decline weighted abs, and weighted leg lifts 🙌🏼🙌🏼 if you do these to get the form right, don’t just take the weight down with you, try and put your head through you legs to really engage your core

It can be hard to get yourself to do cardio sometimes. Try and find something fun and also gives you a good workout. I love boxing and usually go to that over running any day. Find something you have fun with to get your cardio in 🥊🙌🏻😎🤫

Do you even really remember the feeling you got from that piece of pizza or bag of candy you ate? If you forgot, just look down at your stomach, it might refresh your memory. Food is one of those things that when it's over, it's fucking over. All the enjoyment you got from it is gone, like you literally have nothing positive to show for it, but you keep all the negatives that come with that moment. When you eat poorly, assuming you want to be physically fit, you have to pay that back in the form of discipline and time. You don't just get to eat whatever you want and look how you want.
The best way I've learned to control this is to remind myself that it just doesn't last. When it's over, it's over but all the shit that comes with it stays. It's like fat debt. You spend all this "money" by eating whatever you want, but like real life debt, you have to pay it back. You don't just get to spend whatever you want in life and not pay it back. When you look in the mirror, or down, you see all the "money" you owe, just remember all those "purchases" are long gone but you still gotta pay it back. Like it's so much worse than actually buying things, because you actually get to keep things. You have unnecessary things you have around the house that you can, at the very least, sell later when you realize you didn't need it, but diet doesn't work like that. Food is like going out to the bars every weekend, you're looking for this temporary enjoyment that only spends your time and money in exchange for like 3 hours of fun, and then you go out the next weekend and do the same thing because the feeling doesn't last.
Start thinking about if the things you do actually last. Are you moving forward, or backward? Are you looking and feeling better and better, or worse and worse each week. We only get one life as far as we all know, start acting like it!
I just want to say THANK YOU for being present and for each little message you guys DM me, comment and for every likes. I appreciate it a lot! Your time and your energy is gold to me. We are very smal still, but strong. 💙🤗
