👻 It's almost #Halloween 🎃 so we want to share with you some of the Haunted Houses here in #Florida 😱
-> RIDDLE HOUSE <- •
The Edwardian house built in 1905 in #WestPalmBeach was moved to historical park #Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fairgrounds, #RoyalPalmBeach 📍. It was originally a funeral parlor until its purchase by Karl Riddle in 1920's after which it was a private home. It is haunted by Joseph, an employee of Karl, who hanged himself in the attic rather than face his financial troubles. The ghost does not like men and has been known to attack them. ☠️ If you've had paranormal experience here, or have any additional information about this location #please let us know! 👻
I often wonder how people with mediocre attitudes survive in life. Ah, I know how! This happens because we don’t hold them accountable for their actions, but we should.
I find myself accosted by these individuals on a daily basis when I’m at the grocery store, public library and when riding on the bus. Their body language is telling before they attempt to open their mouths, and when they speak a mishmash of incoherent psychobabble pours out like water from a faucet. Yes, your lips are moving, but are you really saying anything?
It’s interesting to watch the negative attitude slayers observing the confident creative thinkers who are thriving in the world with such wonder, and all because the thinking people have asserted themselves with some very basic tools... Simple words like Hello. Thank you. Please. You’re welcome. How can I help you? These quick little comforting gestures make and break relationships, determine who gets raises or the amount of tip left after a meal, and assist you in getting help when you really need it, etc.
Adopting a new or changing attitude won’t happen unless you succumb to your weaknesses and flaws, and truly desire change. It’s something that must be consistently maintained throughout time, and the quickest way to adjust your attitude is by being nice to yourself so that you can be kind to others. This can be accomplished with mood food.
Mood food is conditioning your mind, body and spirit with books to grow your conception, using candles to soothe your temperament, listening to music to nurture your emotions, setting rules and boundaries to achieve organization, dressing appropriately in order to gain respect from your peers, choosing quality over quantity, and never taking anything for granted. It’s always putting your best foot forward, even when you’re tired, broken and bewildered. Stop asking yourself, “What do they have that I don’t?” Start feeding yourself with mood food today.
Stony Stratford, circa 1935.
Except it’s not. This was taken last year at Vintage Stony. Transport yourself and your family back to the golden age of motoring on New Years Day at Vintage Stony. Free to enter and an epic day out to blow away those cobwebs after an indulgent Christmas. With thanks to @webb_graeme for this great content.
Mortality is an interesting journey. Death is a part of life but while we are here, we miss our dearly departed SO MUCH—and living a full life means it is a long time before you’re reunited with your loved ones that were lost (although visitations can happen and they’re always with us). I like to think of crossing over to the other side as the end of Les Miserables—as you walk into the unknown you hear the soft singing of familiar voices until they become louder and you come face to face with those who preceded you. I intend to immediately give grandma and grandpa the biggest hugs when my day comes.
I absolutely love this darling photograph.
Grandma Pat didn’t see these two for so long—her mom died passed away after her wedding. I’m glad they’re finally reunited in the other world with her parents and an adorable dog named Kim.
Meanwhile, I’ll keep recovering and restoring these precious physical memories on Earth as she and grandpa watch over me and everyone they loved. 💕
We've said it before and we'll say it again: sundowners are our favourite time of day! There is something so magical about stopping in a scenic spot just as the sun is about to kiss the horizon, popping open a bottle of champagne, and simply enjoying the splendid display that nature puts on everyday. It's a safari tradition that's not to be missed 🥂🍾
