I dream of this house. A house of sun with you and me. A house where fuzzy sunshine pouring in from these big glass doors will wake us up. Beyond the glass doors would be this little garden full of tulips and daffodils, A garden you and i will raise together.
The walls will be of colours you and i would mix together, We'll paint them with our fingers
And there we will adorn our past and our future to be.
I'd learn piano to play alongside your violin and we'll play lullabies together when you'd be too tired to sleep.
Together we'll make a place where we'll never fall out of love.
For all i want is this house to be full of memories. The memories of us laughing and crying and holding on to each other.
wanna know how i know this will never happen
because i lied next to you afterwards
and i felt nothing.
no passion, no 'i want to do this again',
but i did feel used.
not used in the sense where i was
an unwilling participant.
i was very willing, maybe too willing.
and you took without giving. ●
but how do i definitely know this won't happen
because last time when our hands weren't exploring
each other and our tongues won't invading unchartered
you got up and before you left you hugged
and kissed me. this time you didn't.
because you got what you wanted
and now i am discarded. ●
#Repost [Bio] @poetrybyjynx: Jynx Frostbyte, a poet slash author based in Auckland, New Zealand whose poems revolve around self-love, self-growth, mental health and finding hope; a concoction of topics that warm our souls. Jynx first started writing at the age of 10 - poetry was something she enjoyed because of how free of restraints it was, no hindrance to her imagination, visions and vocabulary.
Jynx's inspiration isn't restricted to one thing, she believes that inspiration could take several forms and come from different places and quote, "there is no such thing as an ideal place because when inspiration calls, you answer no matter where you are," and we definitely have to agree with her wholeheartedly.
You must be wondering it's a weird name, and we didn't miss out on asking Jynx. She said it's a pen name and picked it herself. Let's be honest, that's one hell of a name for a writer.
Here are some questions we asked Jynx:
Q: Have you authored any books?
Jynx: Yes - Twilight, Midnight, Sunlight represents the different levels of the ocean and how one would go about navigating it - sometimes, you sink too far down but you shouldn't let that stop you from wanting to live above the surface
Q: When you're not writing, what do you do?
Jynx: Listen to music. Read. Sing. Watch many movies. Study.
