• S H O U T • O U T • to everyone who has provided support, shared ideas, given feedback, and interacted with me one way or another through this writing page. And that’s whether I know you personally or you’re some random I just met.
I love that the #writingcommunity is so strong on insta and offers a place for us weird and wonderful creative types (I’m definitely the more weird than wonderful) to do our thing.
I hope this first month of 2019 is a good one so far for all #aspiringauthors and #writers .
A simple question. What will make you buy an author's work, read it and review it?
Me, I'm character-driven. If an author gets me with one of their characters, that's it. I'm invested and I'll buy and read on that principle.

Tender Is The Night
It’s under the mysterious pallor of the night that she comes alive,
When she lies free in her bed carelessly, her legs suspended on her bedside window sill,
As though to feel fragments of calming moonlight through her toes in her semi-charmed body.
When all that she can hear is the voice of her soul, comforting her like a living hymn,
When she shuts her eye to the vivid details of the turmoil without,
Of her half-consumed grief, of her caged dreams, trapped in another’s world.
The prophecy promises a savior of royal blood. King Jheret of Elias hopes the savior will be his daughter, Kiara. But to his fury—and his wife’s relief—Kiara is not destined to be the weapon her kingdom so desperately needs.
Freed from the demands of prophecy, Kiara faces a new threat: an arranged marriage. Kollen, her husband-to-be, is brash, rude, and arrogant. But beneath his bluster lies a passionate man, and despite herself, Kiara is softening toward him. Then she meets Prince Derek.
Derek, heir to the kingdom of Sarius, is Elias’s intractable foe. Together with his bloodthirsty sister, Nora, Derek navigates a world-connecting portal and comes to Elias on a mission—a mission quickly discarded when he falls in love with his enemy’s beautiful, courageous daughter.
In this, the first book in a romantic, world-spanning trilogy, love and duty war for dominance. Which will win?
