Everyone says they are “too busy”. The real question you need to ask yourself is whether your too busy being productive or just busy doing nothing. There is a huge difference between busy and being productive. Its very hard to have a day thats not considered busy. We wakeup, we go to work, we workout, some of you have kids to take care of, and theres always a list of things we need to do. Being busy is something that is very easy to accomplish. However, the goal is to be productive, and that takes hard work, more effort, and involves a more strategic plan. 📅
A few ways you can be productive is trying to focus on ONE task at a time. When you schedule yourself for certain tasks you have a clearer mind during that present moment, that allows you to be most effective in whatever you are trying to do.📈
Keep your distractions to a minimum. This is one of my hardest tasks. My phone is a key part of my day. No matter how many times people tell you not to be on your phone sometimes that is difficult to do. Especially if your job is dependent on answering, emails, texts or calls you cant miss. Allow yourself certain moments that you don't have to be on your phone. The one time I go over an hr of not looking at my phone is when I'm working out. My workouts are always most productive because I am focused on what I have to do at hand rather then who’s calling me. Give yourself a certain time of day where you can disconnect even if its only 30-60 minutes. ⏱️📱
Know the key difference between an urgent task and an important task. Know when you MUST get something done and when you can postpone it. Most people try to cram in as much as possible thinking everything is equally important. Make a list of your to dos and prioritize!📑
The next time you tell someone you are super busy, decide whether or not you can turn your busy-ness into productiveness to free up some of your time! Be honest with yourself, decide if you can change your tasks and become more efficient. Your goal shouldn’t be focused on always being as busy as you can, it should be becoming as productive as you possibly can! 💯

This is me feeling good! I shared my story in my stories today because over the past 6 months I gained 26lbs. I gained this much weight while being active and eating well and because of all that I’ve chosen to make some lifestyle changes.
I have to admit that I’ve never ever considered changing my nutrition except to eat more balanced meals to make sure I’m getting enough nutrients.
But two things changed my mind:
1. Poor health
2. Climate change
The knowledge that moving to a more #plantbased diet will significantly alter my impact on climate is really important to me and the single factor that finally pushed me to try a #vegan lifestyle.
I am not an expert but what I do know is that changing WHAT I eat has had a major impact on how I FEEL.
In three weeks of eating vegan (and with appropriate macros for my goals) I have lost 9lbs, cleared my brain fog, have more energy, am no longer waking up with swollen hands and am no longer dealing with painful bloating.
Something (or some things) I was eating was not helping me.
If you knew that your nutrition choices could change how you feel AND contribute to the immediate need to drastically alter the course of climate change would you do it?
We are powerful beyond limits. People don’t know what they are capable of until they have to do something out of their comfort zone, until it’s a win or die situation.
It’s true, because our nature as human beings, we hate failure. We take failure way too seriously as if we lose our pride or something. We stress the hell out of ourselves even when just thinking about it. What if I fail, what will people say, what will people think about me, they may think I’m bad or stupid and a lot of different thoughts.
Well guess what buddy, none of these things happen first of all. And why should you even care about others thoughts from the first place. How in the world would it harm you if some human being thinks you’re bad. Will you get hurt? Will you get injured? Will you lose a body part? Guess what, the answer is no!
So Fear nothing and attack everything🔥🔥👊🏻

But for real, this weekend has been ROUGH for me. Had WAY too many sweets, treats, drinks, you name it, I had it.
I started to revert back to my old ways. Telling myself since I ate crappy one meal to binge the rest of the day, skip my workouts for the week because I probably lost all progress anyway, laying on the couch instead of moving my body, etc It was a bad weekend for sure, but I will NOT make it a bad week. That’s the beauty of a new day, we have the power to make a CHANGE.
As it gets closer and closer to Christmas,🎄this is a reminder for myself and for all of you: indulge, enjoy the foods you love, be mindful of what you’re eating and ALWAYS listen to your body and know when you’re full.
Don’t be the average American who gains 5-10 pounds over the holidays. Drink your water. Eat your veggies. Move your body. YOU are WORTH more than a day filled with binge eating. ✨

As a side note, I love working out not only for the results that come with it, but also bc you can tune everything out to focus on the weights. No stress or problems, it’s just the pump.
My ass might have gotten smaller but my confidence and happiness grew, so I call that a win💪🏼🤷🏼♀️
