Low Back Pain Routine v2
I am not a doctor so the usual disclaimer here is to see a medical professional. With that said, low back pain is not the end of the world. Most acute low back pain will clear itself up given time. It is important to reinforce the idea that your back is strong, not weak and fragile. Pain is a construct of the mind (nervous system) and the idea of low back pain being caused specifically due to mechanical or structural causes is not supported by science. Belief that you’re permanently hurt, or you have movement disfunction can be harmful by creating a nocebo effect. This does not mean to discount anything, but education alone on the subject of pain science greatly helped my own case of low back pain. What we do know is that fear of movement can cause pain, so move confidently through pain-free ranges of movement then increase the range of motion or other progressions.
This routine is a follow up to the low back routine I posted previously. This routine is primarily done standing while the other was done on the floor. Thanks to Paul Ingraham of painscience.com for showing me several of these exercises.
