We know you are probably well and truly down the *laminating* rabbit hole by now 🙈 ... but we just wanted to remind you we have added 'Short and Long Vowel Posters' to the webby (in all themes!!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Long vowel sounds can be quite difficult for students to learn, and are often the reason for reading and spelling errors. With many different spelling patterns for each vowel sound, no wonder it is quite challenging for our beginning readers and writers! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These colour co-ordinated posters will provide your students with the visual reminders they need - because the English language is down right confusing 😜
You will always find word scrambles in my #wordwork station! My students love to grab these and practice seasonal vocabulary. I love that they are getting some spelling practice!
The kids’ favorite Word Buddy is Ring-a-ding King in this group! They are mastering the -NG ending with the help of this Crew! 👑
Watch my IGTV channel to learn about the clues and how to use it for word building!
I’m so excited to be adding this activity into my center rotations this week! The sight words are purposely written backwards and upside down. The fun part is, you can see and read the words correctly in the reflection of the mirror!
This is an awesome freebie from @chevronandcenters and the mirror (that stands by itself 👍) is from the @dollartree! Easy and cheap prep. My fav! ❤️👏
Looking at this spelling inventory today inspired me to break out some of my favorite resources from when I taught kindergarten and first grade!
Love reusing some of my favorite literacy centers worksheets as an intervention with second graders.
My students are having fun learning at their level and it’s easy for me to prep!
You can find these long vowel worksheets at my tpt store- @firsttriesandsunnyskies
As a side note, I’m totally obsessed with the data I get from this assessment!
The big reveal is coming soon! I can’t wait to tell you all about it! Final clue before the countdown begins... 📅 👩🏫🤫📒🎥
Spent some time getting centers ready today and I am 🤗 LOVING 🤗 these cute little activities! These centers are just a few from my January Word Work set! For even more fun, I put magnets on the back to spice up my magnetic center and give my kids more practice on a variety of skills while there! I can’t wait to see my kiddos use them! ❤️ Grab them in my profile —-> they are on sale until Tuesday night to celebrate my birthday tomorrow! 😘 #iteachk#kindergarten#wordwork

Do you wish your students were getting MORE from their reading and writing center time? (See what I did there 😉) Do you feel like you're constantly finding, laminating, cutting, prepping, and explaining centers only for your students to master them (or the season has passed) and now you have to start all over? It's time to STOP ✋ the craziness, friend! What if I told you that you that I have a ton of easy to use centers that you can use for the WHOLE year? Oh, and they're easy to differentiate. AND you can make most of them with things you probably already have laying around your classroom? ✨AND✨ I'd like to tell you all about it for 🆓 (while sharing some freebies along the way!) I bet you'd say, "Sign me up!" (I mean, I'm putting words in your mouth, but I'm pretty sure I know you well enough to know you'd say that 😊). Well, if all of that sounds 😍 to you, follow the link in my profile to sign up for my free Centers Secret email series that provides all of that and more! Say goodbye to the center prep stress and hello to simple centers that are hands on and engage students! If you're all about this, let me know below! I can't wait to hear about how your centers transform! #thecentersecret#primaryparadise#readwithprimaryparadise#daily5#guidedreading#dailyfive#teachershare#teachertip bit.ly/elacenterspp
My favorite part of the weekend is playtime with my girls 💗 They love art, and always enjoy @doadotart dot painting 🌈 While these are best used with just a blank sheet of paper and letting kids go to town, my teacher brain can’t help thinking of all the possibilities for these in the classroom (word work, math centers, etc.) Anyone use dot paints in the classroom for non-art related activities? I’d love to hear your ideas or favorite resources in the comments!👇🏼
This has been the best $0.99 spent this year at Target! 🎯This beach ball has the kids so motivated to answer questions and they look forward to participating. They get so excited to see who will catch the ball! It’s worked great for sight word practice, math facts review, and morning meetings! How would you use it in your room?
Ghost spelling has been updated and if you watch my IG story you can see this in action!
My favorite part of this activity is hearing the kids’ reactions when they rub the marker over top. LOL! It never gets old...for me or them! 😂
