Are you experiencing website woes? I think we’ve all been there. You’re tinkering with your site day after day trying to make it look how it did in your head but it’s just not coming out right. Let me give you a couple reasons why this is happening:
1️⃣ You’re not using the right platform. Depending on your business you may need to switch to a different platform that will better suit your needs
2️⃣ You chose the wrong template or theme.
All templates/themes are not created equal. Switching your template or theme may help unlock features you need for your business
3️⃣ You need to consult a professional.
Sometimes you need to consult a professional web designer to help make your vision a reality
In the comment tell me what you’ve been struggling with and I’ll try to help! .

. 👶HAPPY HOUSE (toddlers-5)🍄
If you've never heard of Hartbeeps or wondered what the class for our biggest smalls (including their younger siblings) is all about and its benefits then please keep on reading....
🥁Between 12 and 36 months of age, children rapidly develop in a variety of cognitive domains, including music. Children at this age begin to demonstrate culture-specific responses to music. Likewise, they also begin to spontaneously engage in musical activities; Happy House sessions have been carefully developed to support the early development of musical abilities.
🍼At about the point in which two word sentences appear, children begin to combine several gestures into a sequence in their pretend play, such as pouring liquid, drinking, and then wiping the mouth; Happy House sessions incorporate play using related props and imagination in the sessions. Children are encouraged to put sequences to their pretend play to songs, and as such encourage their sentence development.
👂Too often listening is thought to be a natural skill that develops automatically, but in fact developing good listening skills requires explicit instruction. “If we expect children to become good listeners, we need to teach them to become active listeners” (Jalongo,1995).....each week we have a different set of 'listening ears' which Happy Housers absolutely LOVE!

Who doesn’t love a shortcut?!
You get to where you want to be and it takes nowhere near the time and effort that it takes everybody else!
BUT - with shortcuts you get shortcomings. If you take a shortcut in business it’s likely you’ll have skipped over valuable experience and the foundation blocks of a lasting enterprise.
Which is why I’m all about the STRATEGY over the shortcuts.
Developing your business without a thorough understanding of the proven processes and methods is like trying to complete a PHD by skim-reading!
If you want to run a sturdy business without any blind spots, know that you can make fast progress, as long as it’s not at the expense of DETAIL!
So what’s it going to be - shortcut or strategy?
If you allowed yourself to be wildly spiritual, completely worthy and radically confident in your own skin... what would change about your current reality?

💎Have better/more sex?
💎Show up in your business with more boldness?
💎Slow down and take a season of rest?
💎Do friendship differently?
💎Finally ask for what you need?

The life of radical self-confidence is not a pipe dream reserved for the special few. You've simply got to open up and claim that YOU are the hero of this story. ♥️ ⠀

This week I’ve been working on some bespoke training for a client and slides for a workshop I’m delivering at a business event on Saturday.
I love the creative process in HR, making the legals easy to understand and showing how they can be applied practically.
This Saturday I’ll be sharing my story and giving some practical business growth tips for moving forward, whether you are at ideas stage or an established business owner.
Are there any tips or lessons you’ve learnt as you’ve built your business?
Me and @emilymcdowell_, sitting in a tree — K-I-S-S-I-N-G.
Just kidding, guys. There hasn't been any tongue. Yet.
It feels out-of-body surreal to be shouting this from the roof of the nearest donut shop, but here goes:
From here on out, I'm officially the voice behind the @emilymcdowell Instagram account (except when Emily rolls in to deliver her own heart-to-hearts and exceptional recipes for crockpot queso — obviously). So, what does that mean?
While you're peeing in your pantaloons over all the @emilymcdowell products, you can also get a dollop of me since I'm writing all the Insta captions.
Also, the word PANTALOONS.
The coolest part that has me pinching myself on the back of my arm chub until I bruise?
Emily and I have also partnered up on a new line of cocktail napkins that're perfect for telling your friends, "Thanks for coming to my party, fellow weirdo. I have social anxiety, but also cake." Coming soon, hold tight.
I refuse to play coy, fam. This is my biggest win in business to date. It means SO much to me personally, since Emily is someone I've read, followed, and bought from for years.
She says what we're all thinking, stands her ground when it counts, and uses her big audience to talk about the hard stuff with a hefty dose of humor. And that checks all the important boxes for me.
5 years ago, her framed artwork on my wall inspired me to start my business. And today, we're in business together.
Hahahahahahaha! HAHAHA! WUT.
This is where my overarching, profound wrap-up would go if I wasn't too excited to form words. Pretend it made you weep with feeeeeeeling. <3
Being an entrepreneur is hard. Don’t get me wrong, being a grown adult that has to work is hard. But there’s just something about being an employee, knowing exactly what is expected of you always, and being able to go home and leave your work at work at the end of a long day. Being an entrepreneur is completely different. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Half the time you don’t even know what YOU expect from you. One day you expect to write a new blog or two, have 3 client appointments, make a billion dollars, save the world, and make it to bed by 9pm. Then the next day, you’re totally okay with doing your own coaching, cleaning the house, and finishing it up with self care. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Not only is it hard not knowing what you can expect from your self, but you don’t always trust yourself. There’s days where I feel confident in the work I’m doing and the lives I’m changing. Then there’s days where I question every aspect of my being and my business. And if that’s not hard enough, it’s not just you questioning yourself, but rather all those close to you questioning you too. Things like “why don’t you just work a real job from now on?” Or “I actually go to work and work hard, you get to sit at home and relax all day”. Sometimes people think we just chill in our pjs and nap all day and somehow make money doing so 🙄 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• So long story short, being an entrepreneur is hard. But you’re strong, sister friend 😘 You might not know what you can commit to and expect from yourself now, but with time and intuition you will. You might not trust yourself yet, but you will. Your friends, family, and significant other might not trust you, but in time when they see the money you make and the lives you change, they’ll wish they would’ve followed suit. So just hang in there, enjoy the ride, and know that you can do this.

Collaboration - This has been a word close to my lips recently with all my clients. The power of collaboration.
It not only creates a good energy but it will growth your audience and business like you wouldn’t believe.
Collaboration with professionals, professionals that can help you move to the next level. Collaboration with like minded people, people who compliment your business, share your business and more.
So if you are keeping it all to yourself, rethink and see who you can reach out to. You won’t regret it, I promise! 💗
What a weekend! Family weekend was spent with family of a different kind. Spent the weekend in Lacombe at @blindmanbrewery with some of Alberta's finest palates judging for @albertabrewers Awards that will be presented on March 6 as part of the Alberta Small Brewers Conference. .
It's panels and experiences like this that drive why I do what I do. So many amazing learning and growing moments through conversation, sharing opinion, perception & also working through conflict. Conversations also strayed away from beer, with opportunity to see beyond the craft beer facade of individuals and glimpse into their personal realm. .
There were some amazing beer presented over these few days, some that really took us by surprise with their exceptional quality & craftsmanship. And if I am to be honest, like most judging experiences, there were also a few gag moments which gave us really good sensory and problem deduction training. .
Overall, there is so much great beer coming out of Alberta, which was even more evident being on the panel of 9 for Best of Show. This experience was one of a kind to decide the best of 22 uniquely different & diverse beer, with it coming down to flawless, definite in its intention & perfectly balanced. There were so many beer that could've ran this race, alas it came to (literally) sweating it out to 3... We will find out who that is on March 6! .
BIG thanks to these peeps for sharing this experience & some really cool/funny moments with:

"If you market to everybody, you market to nobody."
This was a profound statement I heard on a marketing video last week that really resonated with me. And here's why: the past few weeks I have been mentally burning out, and it's been affecting my customer service and even how I answer emails.
The thing with constantly answering email, is you get a lot of tone and energy from a simple email. ▪
One thing that I've come to learn is - yes, the customer is always right - MY customer that is. Not everyone who takes a class with us is my customer, however. And as much as pole does not discriminate and is open to everybody, the particular community I've built isn't open to everybody. It is open to people who mutually benefit from the community of my studios, the ones who respect myself and other classmates, the one who participates, shows up, and works hard for what they want. Everyone can pole, but not everyone wants to participate in our community, and that's okay! ▪
I've learned to work around my "weakness" of people pleasing. That being said, although I'll probably never let go of that, I'm going to use it to serve MY community. That's where my energy and focus counts. That's where it matters. ❤️

You guys my NEW website has finally launched! ⠀
Since 2019 has begun, I’ve been working so hard to show up more by bringing fresh content with photos of myself and video. I’m excited to share what works and what doesn’t with you all and be totally transparent. I hope you love my new website as much as I do. It’s simple and straight to the point. I will be adding a section in the near future with all my video classes and courses you can register for.⠀
Thank you all for being part of this journey⠀ 💕 ⠀

In the third job I ever held I had one manager literally throw boxes at me and yell in my face (sometimes even in front of customers and coworkers) for doing something she didn't like or not doing it "her way".
I've also had jobs where I had private meetings with my boss where I cried my eyes out and told them that I feel like a failure and can't take it anymore.
A few years ago I was working my (at the time) dream job but one of the higher leaders in the department was a nightmare and made me feel like an idiot, and then she secretely decided to cut my job because "it wasn't needed anymore" while I was off getting married, to only come back to an apology by my direct manager (and never one from her) and a new assignment to the most boring and unfulfilling job I've ever taken- auditing (ugh, sorry auditors, your job is insanely boring).
Oh, and a handful of months later they brought my position back and never even once mentioned it to me.
I stayed working in a stressful and toxic work environment in a Call Center all because I had one manager who believed in me, stood up for me, and worked hard to make me feel important and like I am capable of more than taking a phone call.
Remember as you climb the ladder and become someones manager, boss, or leader- you make or break the dreams of your team. You make them walk out the door just as fast as you make them run in. You are the reason they treat your customers like crap or like VIPs.
You are responsible for more than signing a check and handing out duties to your team.

My heart is so happy. These ladies were more than I could have asked for.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last week was such a great week and has given me so much to be grateful for. It might be the norm to hate your job, but it doesn't mean you have to be like everyone else.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I keep asking myself...What feels light and easy? How can I simplify and scale what I love? What is fun and exciting?
When I think about my Powerhouse Mastermind they check all the boxes and I continue to love what I do more and more everyday.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Work doesn't have to feel like work. Steve Jobs said "If you are working on something you really care about, you don't have to be pushed. The vision pulls you."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are you pushing or are you being pulled????
