😟I’ve had some feedback of late... that I don’t smile enough and that I can be quite guarded at times.
I always look take feedback as a learning experience. I don’t always succeed...haha!
As I’ve thought about this, I’ve traced it back to my childhood. I was ‘that kid’ who would sit back and ‘watch’. Watch and analyse.
Watch to see who I wanted to connect with.
Watch and see who was ‘worthy’ of my time.
Watch and see who I could trust!
The problem here in lies that now as an adult, this guarded approach closes you off from connecting at the deeper levels and closes others off towards you too.
It’s a natural fear based human instinct to guard oneself when we’re feeling afraid, uncertain, unsure, stressed, worried, angry or sad. To shut down, to go inwards and to
This ‘pattern’ is disempowering and keeps you stuck.
You can tell instantly about how someone is feeling by their smile or lack there of. True?
What is a smile?😃 To me a smile is...
To me a smile is what lights you up!✨
Makes you stand out.🙌
Shines your vibrant energy onto others.💚 Smiling changes your state.
Smiling makes you more attractive.
Smiling is you at your best.
I’m committed to living at my best, with that commitment comes a responsibility.
To SMILE more often. 😁😀😊 The end.
When embarking upon the journey of restoration and transformation it is important to keep in mind that the end goal is always progression. When we place the standard before us to achieve perfection we are carrying a false weight to perform. Seeking out authentic healing and transformation takes reliance on God, time, and effort. These three factors ensures that progression will be obtained. While working towards perfection can only ensure disappointment, fatigue and confusion I do believe that we should work daily to be perfected as Christ is, but we must understand the power of process and grace. The Lord never intended for us to become a slave or make an idol out of perfection. Working to renew or transform your mind requires surrender and diligence not perfection. With progression comes an understanding of grace, with perfection comes an understanding of performance.
There is a lot of "noise" that we experience in this life including a lot of information that is rapidly hurled at us each day, including lies from the evil one so we need to sort the truth from the lies.
Even in The Body of Christ, those who may be well intended believer's will proclaim something that ends up not coming to true because it wasn't Biblically true. It clearly wasn't from The Lord!
Are you confused or unclear about something? Consult God's Word! Did you attend a Christian Conference and something doesn't quite sit right with you regarding something someone taught? Consult God's Word! Did you attend your regular home church or have you visited a church and something doesn't quite sit right with you regarding something that was taught? Consult God's Word! Heard something preached on one of the "Christian" networks that doesn't quite sound right? Consult God's Word!
If you've been on this journey with me for a while, you've heard me say more than once, that as follower's of Christ, God's Word is the lens by which we see and know the truth.
May we be like The Berean's and take everything back to the lens of God's Word as it's through God's Word that The Holy Spirit will shed light on the truth which will sort out that which is not.
As we abide in and live out His Word, we'll have clearer vision because He will help transform and renew our minds so we can view everything from His lens.
Take everything back to God's Word and as you do so, the Holly Spirit will give you you wisdom, knowledge and discernment that will, again, help separate the truth from the lies.
Don't be a blind sheep! Take everything back to God's Word!
Never feel obligated to follow suit that the system tailored for society. Be an Outcast, weirdo, unorthodox, awkward, 1 of 1! Set your own precedent. #Fuck the system 💯💪🏾🕉

In case you ever doubted it, remember that you are enough. Stop all the negative self talk, stop blaming yourself if something didn’t work out, and stop doubting your beauty.

The number one thing that practicing yoga has taught me is not flexibility, or the importance of core strength or even how to breathe properly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It has taught me focus. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
An ability to silence the external chaos and give way to the ever-present stillness within. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I used to think it took a lot of practice and time to achieve this focus but in reality, the best benefit of yoga doesn’t take time at all, it gives it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You could say life is kind of like that. What we choose to focus on is indicative of where our energy will flow. Be it negative thoughts, anger, regret or pain. Like attracts like. Check in often with what you’re focusing on. Disregard the external noise and continually focus on the internal peace that surpasses all understanding✨
