Right above my head everyday. Time to peel it off(because I need to paint) and go onto what I thought was an impossible house to get.
Bought my first house with my beautiful wife 5 years ago. I thought that was impossible. Now we move to our forever home. “For with God all things are possible” #creedad#winnipeg#faith#faithquotes#blessed hopefully this make sense I’ve been givener for days I’m exhausted and happy
Caress of Steel were shut out tonight 3-0 by the Real Blades of Steel. it was the second meeting against that team and they have taken both of them. It was a close game and Caress had a good goal called back, but they haven’t been able to beat that goalie yet this season. Defenceman Britt Hainstock was hypnotized by the Dirty Owl 2.0 🦉🥅🏒 after staring into its eyes. It’s best not to make eye contact at all. #caressofsteelhockeyclub#ashl#winnipeg
“Last year when the snow was locked into the ground, I went to pick up my Mom where she worked. As I waited in my warm, cozy car, I saw a man. He could barely walk straight. He walked up to a garbage bin and relentlessly searched for a scrap of food. He was high on something but he did not give up. He just kept searching.
On the way I had bought some fast food and, I had some left over fries and a half finished drink in my car. Without much thought, I opened my car door, walked up to the bench beside this man still looking in the garbage, and placed the bag of fries and my half finished drink and I went back into my car.
He did not see me, he did not hear me. But as I watched, and after a while he gave up searching for food in the garbage bin, and he turned around and found what a stranger had left him. He looked left and right frantically. Only to see no one around. He happily walked away with my fries and my half finished drink.
And that man that I will never know, was happy- Even if just for a night, and that made me happy.
I have never told anyone this story. Only because it seemed like no one cared or that what I did- didn’t matter. But that’s not true. It mattered to him.” - Anonymous

Local CDs A-Z continued: Jorsdy - Shlines (2011). Folk EP by the dude from Burnt Witch Survival Group. Picked it up randomly on the ‘free shit’ counter at @musictraderwpg, not knowing who he was (and not realizing he was the same guy from BWSG). At one point I interviewed him via email for the pre-podcast blog version of Witchpolice. This includes a really catchy musical version of that letter Jack Layton wrote just before he died - “Song for Jack” - as well some other fun stuff. No clue if Jordsy is still active in the local scene.
