Aannnndddd more Irish countryside!
Are you getting tired of seeing just Ireland yet? Wanna see some people in the countryside too? If the answer is yes then I would greatly appreciate you sending any of your Irish (or visiting Ireland friends) my way! Our road trip is coming to an end soon and I would love to take some people out into the beautiful Irish countryside for some photos!
There are only two tourist locations I have been to in my life that lived up to the hype: Machu Picchu and Cliffs of Moher. Obviously this was the second. Not the usual view of the cliffs, but arguably an even more interesting one.
Check out @the.wayward.life for a more traditional view of the cliffs!
Ok, here is the first "professional" photo from Ireland! It's crazy to me how similar things here are to Canada. They have even planted some Canadian tree species here for commercial logging. Right on the other side of that left mountain is a bunch of Sitka Spruce and Douglas Fir. But then there are also lotsa oak trees, and grass instead of salal. We are gonna spend tomorrow morning exploring these mountains some more and then head south for a bit to explore more of the country. But I am booking sessions in Glendalough (where this lake is) and would love to do some exploring with you!
A snap from our Learning to Fly retreat last month, good food, company and teachers.. can't wait to go back next year 😊

It's been a long First week in Ireland. I haven't even had a chance to break out my camera because we have been so busy trying to figure life out. I naively grossly underestimated how much work moving to another country is. Even with all of the similarities between Canada and Ireland, there are so many things that are different, and it has given me a whole new appreciation for people who move from much different cultures to our western countries. .
My naivity in matters like big changes is not a new thing. Sometimes I feel like it's a gift, as it propels me to do things that I probably wouldn't if I knew what the decision fully entailed. On the other hand it sometimes feels like a curse, as I run without fear away from my comfort zone and often end up in over my head wishing I had better prepared myself for what I am up against. I'm not a researcher. I'm a do-er who fills in the blanks as I go, and sometimes that leaves me dirty and bleeding. Other times it creates a lot of space for making awesome art. .
So hopefully this upcoming week leaves more room for creation and I can start sharing some photos of this beautiful land. I can already feel the magic here.
And so I ask you, when was the last time you hiked a mountain in a dress?
This super gorgeous and fun adventure session just hit the blog!!! P.s. I'm officially on Irish soil and would LOVE to start booking some adventure sessions and elopements! Hit me up if you would like to get some photos of yourself in the incredible Irish countryside! ❤️
Every picture I post for the next forever is going to seem so much less epic after my adventure up the mountain for sunrise, but this nature scene is pretty awesome too.
I'm 12 days away from flying to Ireland 😳 I can't wait to share some landscapes (+people) while over there!
One of the funnest things for me on a wedding day is getting to see the couples personalities shine through with the day's details. Like Goli's use of books for her table names, her gift table, and even this bridal portrait. Who knew a novel could look so sexy?
