I was going to post a photo of my session this morning. But it was hill repeats. And there was sweat. And vomit and a whole lot of grunting. So instead, here’s a picture of me on New Year’s Day completing #parkrun in my #mxendurance2019 gear.
Who loves running? WE DO!! The runs that make you feel this good and all the fun is had out on the course make you forgot all the not so great and sometimes frustrating miles - but without those we wouldn’t get this!! 👍🏼🤗

Frosty start to this morning’s dawn patrol group run. Only a few braved the chill. As usual, the sunrise did not disappoint! So great to see a member of our Woodlands/PDX contingent @dvizzini !
I have to take my hat off to you if you have made it this far without crashing and burning.
It is January and most gyms are packed full with sweaty bodies, everyone is keen on making this year the one.
The one year that will be different and the one year where your partner or friends will notice your effort and give you a pat on the back.
It takes 21 days to form a new habit and this is is why day 22 is so important, a lot of people go straight in the deep end and go all in, but they crash and burn in January due to not sticking at it or not knowing what to do in the long term to keep the results going
Day 22 for us is where it all starts.
Personally, over the years our training calendar does not really start till now. This is for several reasons, I've only just got back into the routine, back to the routine of being a family unit and more importantly, blue Monday has passed.
Yes, it really is a thing.
The reason I do what I do in this training and treatment industry is simple. To help people like you.
If I help people feel better, make them smile and have some fun along this journey then you have one happy coach. The resultant effect of helping you become fitter, faster and stronger is one happy client that grows in confidence in all aspects of their life.
If you have yet to get started, or you’re not sure where to start then let's start you on our next 21-day cycle and developing some new habits.
Be bold and make the decision and set some goals.
Consciously if you decide you want to be happy, successful, look and feel fantastic with oodles of energy then take the next step and ask for help
Taking that step and taking action is key.
You can change so ask.
Consistency is key in all areas of your life, small daily disciplines add up over time and move you closer to your goal.
Prepare and everything will be good over time, be patient because as a team we will help you reach your goals.
We are a private training and treatment studio based #Southbourne#Tuckton so you won't have to wait for equipment or share that sweaty gym matt.
We take a personalised approach to getting to know you and to work out a plan as a team.
After the #bloodmoon comes the #goldenhour.
Yesterday morning was just one of those days I live for. To see the #bloodwolfmoon turn into a stunning winter morning full of crisp winter light made my ❤️ full. Thrilled to be asked to join @jamescarnegiephotography on this super challenging shoot. They say that you are the average of the five people you spend most time with. If my photography skills ever get to be this average I’ll be super happy! Plenty more where this came from but this one with the morning frost in the foreground is pretty special! 📷: @jamescarnegiephotography
Stunning morning in Honolulu. Fairly creaky starting out but settled into a reasonable tempo and pushed on a little further to catch up some missed kms from last week. 🏃🏻♂️👊🏼👍🏼 And did I mention the location? Beautiful. Mahalo in spades. Aloha 🤙🏼
🍴 🏔 🍴 breakfast with friends. 2 mile warmup, 6x hard up and down with two min recovery, 2 mile cool down. My legs felt great on the first two intervals, then it got hard. Hills with friends who push you to do your best is a great way to start a hard week of training. I’ll happily take my rest day tomorrow.
The Petronas Towers are spectacular! I took a whole bunch of photos. (Reminded me of the #qutabminar in Delhi) 🇲🇾-🇸🇬
I took a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore today. The bus accidentally? intentionally? left me and a couple of other non-Malaysians (who took longer than our Malaysian counterparts) at the border. So that was unexpected and inconvenient. We teamed up and found our way to the city though - my new friend, a Swedish guy covered my bus fare because I didn’t have any Singaporean $ and there wasn’t an ATM.
Coming to terms with the fact that I can’t possibly convey the entirety of this trip and all the great things I’ve seen and people I’ve met. But I can share some of them, so that’s what I’ll continue to do! What’s your favourite building/skyscraper? This is definitely one of mine. I think it might even look even better at night. It’s nearly 3am, but I wanted to update you guys 😁 - Singapore until Friday, then on to Brisbane!
It's weird to think it's been nearly 8 months since I reached the end point of the South West Coast Path.
I still struggle to find the right words to sum it up - how do you fit a 630 mile journey into bite size pieces when you're not even sure where to start? When the trail head isn't really the beginning, any more than the finish is an end?
So I went back to the video diaries I kept on the run. Turns out I had almost an hour of footage - the highs, the excitement and the triumph, but also the lows, the getting lost, the jelly legs, the raw chafed shoulders.
The grief that brought me there, and the sense of reconnection and remembrance that carried me through.
I might eventually find a way to get it all into words. For now, the link is in my bio.
First run on the training plan and ran a very good 6km at 4:45min km and then an easier 2.5km to finish. Smith was running along the river, tripped, arse over tit and was so close to going into the water. Was too much.
Yesterday was amazing. Myself and these three lovely ladies also crazy enough to run across Haiti pulled off an incredible fundraiser last night. It was a lot of work (and I learned I’m not made for the marketing/event planning world), but we DID IT! We raised over $3,000!! And all thanks to you guys.
Seriously though. Whether you made it out last night, have been watching the journey from a far, have given kind words, anything...it means the world. All of this support helps @doworkorg do what they do best. Help the families of Menelas, Haiti into good, dignified jobs. Their work is thoughtful and sustainable and the funds raised through the Run Across Haiti make a huge difference in what they’re able to do.
Thank you, THANK YOU for everyone who was able to make last night such a success. We’re about 3 weeks out to the start of the run and there’s still more training, fundraising, and mental prep to be done! Keep following along and see where these little legs can take me.
Link in my bio to donate directly ❤️

The amazing @sayskycph send me this pretty Illuminate Jacket. 😍 It’s in matte black with an all over reflective silver pattern. Means YOU WILL SPARKLE!!! 🧚🏼♀️💫
It comes with a woven SAYSKY label on the front and back in dark grey. The jacket has an athletic fit and it has been designed to “let you run through rain and wind like you don't care.” 😌
And if you hurry, they have a huge SALE right now.
Check the link in my bio. ☝🏻
I’m gonna try out this black beauty during my next runs and let you know, what I think about it. But I’m already in love, so ... 🤷🏼♀️😍😋
Ps: I’m blind ‘cos of taking a 1000 flash pictures. 😵📸💥💥💥😆
Pps: This happened in cooperation with @sayskycph. 😇
Jacket and blindness. 😂

New year new me! My first race under new coach @djritzenhein and I’ve got a new half marathon PB! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
I was so close to being the top American and breaking 62 minutes that it hurt! I pushed the race from the front of our group with @reedfisch and then emptied the tank the the last mile, but it just wasn’t enough. I’m proud to say I ran a negative split into a strong headwind over the 2nd half of the race. Glad to have this first one out of the way and excited to keep building!

A cold and lonely 20 miles on tap this morning. But hey, that’s running. No matter how many friends/teammates you have, the best coach, the best strength program...at some point it’s going to be up to you to find a way. When the gun goes off and you’re reaching the breaking point the only thing that’s going to save you is yourself.

I was chatting with my agent @raypflynn the other day and I was telling him that it’s been a really empowering and fun experience having to figure this whole training alone thing out. It’s been amazing to see all the friends and people who have wanted to help me achieve success. Ray was happy to hear this and made a note that, “Boulder is a Mecca”. Boy is he right...where else would you run into the Japanese Marathon National Record Holder on an evening shake out run from your apartment. Been a blast to get to workout with @suguru_osako this week and soak up all the knowledge I can.

On my way to winning my first Junior national title🥇! I was a junior in high school racing my first 10k against college freshman. I sat in the pack at a pedestrian pace for the first 5k and then made a break for it. The @flotrack announcers at the time cautioned me to slow down and that I was being silly during the broadcast. I went on to win by 15 seconds. This result also gave me the opportunity to represent team USA at the Pan Am Games in Trinidad and Tobago where I placed 🥉. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
