When another great person changes her mind about you and you notice a couple checks have cleared, you drive 20 minutes to a food court for the first thing that sounds good to you and you #treatyoself 🤷🏼♂️😝 lol
On a more serious note, I don’t know what or if you believe anything about God, but before checking my account, I prayed what I didn’t even realize was a little prayer that I have at least $10 to get a decent little pity party meal for myself. The ap opened, and I had... a lot more 🤷🏼♂️ I’m not out of the woods yet, but sometimes, even right in the middle of darkness, you see a little light. Just keep your eyes open for it. I cried. I have a harder and harder time believing ANYTHING good will happen to me, and here was something 🤷🏼♂️ I’m trying to be a more grateful person, and I think, like so many things, that starts with being a more aware and more open person. Keep trying, friends. Love ya.
On #motherhood — we couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Between the “what am I doing,” “I hope this works,” & the “who really knows,” we’re all doing the best that we know how, & that deserves all the credit. Even though it might feel like you’re doing it wrong or someone else is doing it better, being a mom is unique to YOU. You are being a good mom, no matter how much you doubt yourself. Doubt is just another part of motherhood, so let’s embrace it! All the little things you are doing add up. Have faith in yourself (& that strong coffee you’ve been sipping on). No one is the perfect mom but you are the perfect you to your little one & we’re here to remind you of that 👶🏼💚
A very special #MCM. I was so overwhelmed by opening night gratitude-relief-surprise that all I could say was what you see here. But if I’d had the presence of mind (maybe next time I see him! 🤞🏽), I would thank @jonjonbriones for his artistry, for blazing trails, and for sharing his experience. I’ve cried listening to this man talk about his journey to and off Broadway as a budding artist in the Philippines. He has experienced firsthand what it is to be an immigrant and a POC in an industry that very much acts in discriminatory ways, even while touting its diversity shows and panels. His work ethic and drive is inspirational, and the genuine surprise he expressed at how GAGA we all were that he came to our show and graciously took pictures and thanked us for our work speaks volumes about his humility and kindness. Thank you maraming salamat YOURE AWESOME 😭😭😭 #FilAm#pride#LAthtr#whatismylife#gratitude 📹Hao and TY @directorrivera and Boni Alvarez for making this all possible! 🙏🏽 #LAgratitudehands
When the department head asks you to show him your tits 😐🤔😂 #whatismylife

Album of the Week #45: All Things Must Pass by George Harrison (1970)
Some of the greatest albums to grace the canon of popular music. After their dramatic splintering, almost all of the Beatles went on to have impressive solo careers (sorry, Ringo), but there’s arguably no album that eclipses, or stands up to, their brilliant work as a group.
Well, except for this one. The quiet one’s sprawling triple album is the sound of Harrison escaping the imposing shadows of Lennon & McCartney, and finally proving himself to the world as a genius in his own right.
Keeping an album interesting over a massive 2-hour runtime is no easy task. Luckily, All Things Must Pass proved that by leaps and bounds, Harrison was up for the task, jumping from folk, to pop, to hard rock, to even funk, a true testament to his incredible versatility.
There are some true rompers here, from the electric “Wah Wah”, to the near psychedelia of “The Art Of Dying”. The last 4 tracks are instrumental, including the surf rock swing of “Thanks For The Pepperoni”. “I’d Have You Anytime” and “I Live a For You” float like they’re lily pads in a gorgeous pond, languid and peaceful. Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound is most prominent on “What Is Life” and “Awaiting You All”, two great pop songs filled with thickets of horns, strings, drums, and guitars. On “If Not For You”, a Dylan cover, Harrison adds a pop of color with pianos, strings, and a rolling rhythm. One of the most beloved tracks on the album, “Isn’t It A Pity” is an absolute masterwork, a 7-minute meditation on love and loss that ranks as one of Harrison’s finest songs ever. “Run Of The Mill” is grandiose, a look into The Beatles splintering as gorgeous as it is sad.
Then there’s “My Sweet Lord”. It’s pretty much a gospel song, uniting the recitation of the Hebrew “hallelujah”, and the Hindu “hare Krishna”. With Harrison’s sliding guitar and a choir of voices, it’s euphoric, reaching higher and higher till it touches the sky. The song is touching, to believers and nonbelievers alike.
All Things Must Pass may be long, but give it a listen. It’s as good as any Beatles record, a true masterwork.

Instagram has become my diary in some ways. I do keep a traditional diary also but it’s way too much work for me to print pictures and glue them to my paper diary. I like this way better. Sure, my posts are for everyone who care in some ways but not too much to actually ask but it’s also for me. Not a week goes by without me scrollig through my pictures and thinking about everythig my posts meant and still mean to me. This week has barely started and I already feel like drowning in loneliness, in my own head, in ingratitude and in laziness. Thank goodness I barely ever delete my old pictures from my phone so I have these kind of pics to match the mood. This goldie is from 24th of July last year. Just wanted to tell everyone: I truly envy you if you post something on Instagram about your great life. If I happen to have a nice moment, I don’t remember to take a picture of it and I’m left with memories I can’t really share with anyone since I spend most of my time watching That 70’s show. If you read this this far, I want to wish you a great day. I truly hope you’ll live it better than me and actually make memories to share. I’ll keep binge watching Netflix and wishing I was doing better in life. xoxo #diarypost#imruiningmylife#oceanview#whatismylife#greatfuturebehind#netflixandchillbymyself 🍕
