Till the end of September @kevin.robertson is undertaking a residency at the Heathcote Cultural Precinct. Kevin has used this residency to explore stereopsis (binocular vision) in various forms through painting.
Kevin says of his current exploration 'Cezanne is one of the few artists whose work incorporates the fact that we see the world with two eyes, using a broken brushstroke technique to represent the ambiguities of having two views of the world on canvas. Though many are familiar with Victorian stereoscopes and red and blue Photoshop images, I am more interested in depth perception as an expressive element of a painting'
Beautiful watercolour work with a lovely caption! ❤️ Repost: @the_plain_jane_writes
Mindfulness ie paying attention to the present moment is what I’ve been trying to develop. Painting and calligraphy become my mindfulness practice. .

While we are good friends and have loved recording the podcast for almost a year now, due to our commitments to @thelongwaysbetter and @thelife0fpy we don't actually get out and hike together that often.
This all changed when we explored the off track walk through Boyagin Nature Reserve a couple of weekends ago. This amazing place has some of the best granite walking in the state and was a real pleasure to experience.
For a full account of our adventures check out the post over at The Long Way's Better.
