Made food for the coming week. I've focused on emptying my pantry and fridge so the meals are not as healthy as I would have liked, but I can't imagine throwing away the food I already had at home. But now, the next time I go grocery shopping I can fill it all with good stuff 😊

As I went though my pictures, I realized I only have like 6 pictures of my body in 10 years worth of time. Even being overweight, why did I feel the need to hide? Why was I so afraid of what others would think of me? Why did I let harsh words and judgments from people who barely know me hurt me so much? I’m 33 and finally am beginning to love myself, but it shouldn’t have taken losing weight to do that. Not everyone that is overweight is lazy and eating garbage food. There are a million skinny people who do the same. I didn’t know enough when I was younger, and even now I struggle when I eat healthier than 90% of the population because I deal with inflammation. People treat me 1,000x better now, but it shouldn’t be that way. REM, Light, Deep: How Much of Each Stage of Sleep Are You Getting?
On average, light sleep will take up about 50 to 60 percent or more of your night. “Whether you get more or less light sleep isn’t really going to affect how you feel too much, because it’s just whatever time is left that’s not spent in deep sleep or REM,”
Deep sleep, on the other hand is likely to take up 10 to 25 percent of your sleep. “There’s no real way to get too much deep sleep.
Too little, on the other hand, and sleep becomes unrefreshing. “—people naturally get less as they get older—
Lastly, REM makes up about 20 to 25 percent of your nightly sleep and mostly takes place in the second half of the night. “If you cut your sleep short, most of what you’re cutting out is REM,” says Grandner. “And too little REM sleep can leave you feeling groggy, less able to focus, and might lead to memory problems.” That’s why it’s important to get enough rest after learning something new or before taking an exam. Many medications can also block REM. “
Consistently getting too much REM could also create problems. “If you go too much over 25 percent of REM, it might cause too much brain activation, which can leave you angry and irritable and can even potentially exacerbate depression and anxiety symptoms.” Source:
GOAL! 🙌🏼 I’m feeling so good about where I am in my life and having it show on the outside is a really nice feeling! The girl on the left was happy too but it didn’t show in my day to day life. I can’t stop smiling now! I feel like a million pounds have been lifted off my shoulders! Those around me comment all the time about how I carry myself differently. It comes from self confidence. Self confidence to understand that no one is perfect but that we all have a choice every single day when we wake up. We have a choice to be who and what we want to be that day! Every day I choose ME! My health and my family are my choice. Weight loss is not linear. So many things change on the inside as well. I loved who I was then and I love who I am now. Biggest difference is I have made sure to do al I can to be there for my family and friends every day. The dodgers won, I drank too much vodka, fell asleep with makeup on, and skipped the gym this morning. I’ve been busting my ass 6 days a week so I’m totally cool with all of this. I’m giving myself a break because it’s life but I’m still going to flex for skinny morning pics.

I have been flooded with questions regarding my fitness program so finally i have decided to answer everything here.
1. Query 1: Is there a personal gym or is this some online training?
Answer: Well Afshan_Says is a fitness program where each and everything is coordinated through a device that we love using i.e. Cellphone. I not only plan your meal plan and cardio plan but also keep a check on whether you are following the plan or not, along with answering each of your queries.
2. Query 2: Are the meal and cardio plans customized?
Answer: Well Yes, before starting our session there is a form that needs to be filled which has ALOT of questions for you and you need to answer each one of them, on the basis of your form I shall be making a plan that will be targetting only YOU.
3. Query 3: How many KGs will i lose?
Answer: This is that million dollar question that noone can answer, but yes i can guarantee you that if you stick with me till the end then you will achieve the goal that you had in mind on day 1.
4. How long does the program last?.
Answer: Well my program doesnt believe in making you starve to death or making you run on treadmil for hours, in such regime you do lose ALOT of weight but the moment you stop, you gain all the weight back, once you complete your form, I shall be making your journey and breaking it down into chapters( 1 month = 1 chapter ), few participants need 3 chapters some require even 12, so each person has a different story and hence different number of chapters.
It is not crash weight loss program but a complete lifestyle change that will ensure that onces you complete this journey, you will stay healthy for the longest period of time.

I will forever compare myself to the photo on the left because that was my heaviest. Needless to say today I'm feeling like that girl is slowly fading. I still have a ways to go but for the past couple of months I've bared down started the gym and eating way better minus the occasional sweet treat. I refuse to look at the scale and get discouraged because I feel I'm not loosing. But muscle weighs more than fat and overall I feel a lot better today. Today I feel skinny and strong. I like who I am becoming. People get so roped up on what the scale says and I'm slowly learning that it's not the number but how you feel physically and mentally. Today I feel stronger! Today I feel happier!

Last breakfast on the island, I’ll miss having someone cook my eggs and cut up my fruit...but back to reality. I took the time while vacation to recharge my batteries and refocus. Somewhere along the way these last several months I started putting everything before myself to avoid actually sitting with and feeling the emotions of some personal things I was going through. I highly recommend the book Girl, Wash Your Face by @msrachelhollis its just the kick in the butt I needed!

Con la palestra ho scoperto quanto è bello superare non gli altri, ma se stessi. Ho scoperto quanto è bello allenarsi, faticare, sudare, usare il proprio corpo per 𝚜𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚒 𝚟𝚒𝚟𝚒. Dopo troppo tempo in cui mi trascinavo, sopravvivendo, ora grazie alla palestra mi sento viva!
Un tempo capirai , quando avrai portato a termine il tuo “lavoro”, che non si tratterà più di dieta, di restrizione, di proibizione, ma di uno stile di vita.
E non ascoltate 𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗢. La gente parla, ha parlato e parlerà sempre. E non fa altro che gufare sui tuoi successi.
Non giustificatevi con nessuno sulle vostre scelte di vita: guardate avanti sulla vostra strada a testa alta, perché purtroppo esiste l’invidia, la gelosia, la cattiveria o semplicemente l’inferiorità nel vedere che tu stai riuscendo in qualcosa in cui tutti vorrebbero riuscire ma pochi riescono.
Ti diranno che sei fissata ed esagerata: tu guardali negli occhi ed invitali ad essere fissati anche a loro di 𝐹𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑎̀! Se aver ritrovato la voglia di 𝑽𝑰𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑬 grazie ad uno sport deve essere fonte di critiche insensate e infondate, il mio consiglio è quello di investire questo tempo per voi. Tu che stai leggendo hai le stesse possibilità di chiunque a cambiarti, devi solo volerlo, perché invidiare e additare è facilissimo.
