We might start out on a weight loss journey to lose the weight on our body, but the weight we really need to lose is the weigh between our ears. We think that losing the weight on our body is the answer, but it’s just a small tiny piece of the puzzle.

Discovering protein powder was a turning point in helping me lose the weight that seemed like it would NEVER go away. I always thought of it as something only bulky bodybuilders used to pump up. But I did some research that showed me the best whey protein for weight loss is actually a great tool for building lean muscle and burning fat.

You will NEVER have it all figured out. However, as long as you’re continually working on yourself, learning, and making better decisions for you, you are making progress. Let's say you rate your current diet as a 3/10. Then you will only need to reach 3.5/10 to start seeing a positive change. Many of you will immediately try to go straight from 3/10 to 10/10 and skip out the in-between. It is essential to spend time making gradual changes and adapting to these changes before progressing to the next level. Don't be too hard on yourself and celebrate small wins. Positive attitudes create positive outcomes 💛
Week four into the new routine!
This week I’m adding in more volume. With this full body routine I’m doing, I started with 12 sets a week per body part, but now I’m taking it up a notch! I’ll shoot for 15 divided over 3 full body routines a week. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m still hitting whatever muscles I want to focus on. I’m still focusing on high weight and low reps. I’m also eating to build!
CHANGE IS GOOD! As always, your body will adapt so change brings growth! (There’s a life lesson in there.)

My sister and I met for sushi today. Forgot the cooked rice soaking on the stove, ten minutes would have been needed and I only remembered after 20 🙈 to rinse it... it was such mush... but we used it anyway.
The sushi rolls turned out plenty soggy, but still tasty.
Put a pinch to much ginger into the gyoza for my sisters taste but I thought they were exactly right 😁 Love ginger.
- What a difference! 🤩 I often add the Chipotle salad dressing which is another 260 cals (eek - good idea to add your own if you can instead!) - but that STILL ends up being about HALF the calories of that burrito 🌯
If you really love rice & beans - a good trick is to ask for 1/2 the amount - you’ll still get the delicious taste! 😋
Another good trick is to ask for EXTRA fajita veggies & tomato salsa - which they’ll typically give you! I do this alllll the time 🤩

👍Ways to Cut Calories at Italian Restaurants
🥖Don’t butter your bread! If you do have bread, opt for oil, not butter as a topping. According to a Cornell University Study of 341 diners about oil vs. butter, olive oil users ate 23 percent less bread at their meal than those using butter.
🥘Soup as a starter. You’ll still get major Mediterranean flavor without all the guilt.
🥪Stay away from lunch meats. Italian lunchmeats like prosciutto and mortadella are loaded with fat and sodium and are high in calories, too.
🍜Order whole wheat pasta. Whole grain pasta may or may not have fewer calories than the refined white variety, but the extra fiber will fill you up and offer more satisfaction in a smaller portion size.
🍝Say no to fettuccine Alfredo and Carbonara. It’s not the pasta that’s so rich in this recipe; it’s the heavy Alfredo sauce made of butter, Parmesan cheese and sometimes eggs or starch.
🐟Choose fish. Many Italian dishes have good-for-you, low-cal seafood like shrimp and clams.
🍲Stay away from stuffed pastas. Eat them and you’ll be stuffed with extra calories and extra fat from cheeses and other fillers.
🍕Order pizza but make it healthy. Who says you can’t eat pizza and still stay on track? Choose whole wheat, thin-crust pizza and opt for veggies over meats as toppings. Don’t eat the whole pizza, either.
🍤Order grilled meats, not breaded ones. Order grilled chicken instead of chicken Parmesan. You’ll savor the flavor and save calories at the same time.

Coming at you with another VOLUME eating SNACK hack 😍! .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Growing up, my mum would always buy me yoghurt covered raisins, fruits clusters etc. with the aim of it being the ‘healthier’ ( more nutrient dense) alternative to chocolate 😒 Little did she know that the so called ‘yoghurt’ coating is actually made mostly of ingredients like sugar, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, corn syrup etc.
These days, I like to reach for a far more satisfying snack- that is so quick and easy to make!
👈On the left we have 50g yoghurt covered fruit clusters
👉On the right we have 100g blueberries dipped in 100g plain low fat organic yoghurt sweetened with stevia. I make this by taking a toothpick and dipping the blueberries into the yoghurt( if you’re lazy and don’t care for appearance you can pour blueberries in bowl of yoghurt and mix until all of them are well covered). I then line a tray with baking paper and spread the blueberries on it evenly. Place in the freezer and allow to set!
