In order to make a change you must first change your #perspective Don’t feel overwhelmed if you don’t know exactly what this means for you right away. You can start the process by replacing disempowering statements with questions that force you to look in another direction. . ✨
Instead of saying, “I don’t have the time,” ask yourself, “what is filling my day now?” And audit each hour to figure out when you are truly busy, versus when you are just idle. Watching tv, or scrolling while you have coffee may be your time to decompress. Which isn’t necessarily bad, but perhaps you can do it for half the time you do now. Likewise, perhaps you are busying yourself with a bunch of little tasks that you could easily negotiate in order to devote your time to something more meaningful. . ✨
Instead of saying, “I just don’t have that kind of discipline,” to do something you actually do want to do, ask yourself “why is this not a priority for me?” Most of us had to be disciplined in some way to get to where we are in life. If you have earned a degree, make it to work on time everyday, or played the lead in your high school play, etc you most definitely are capable of being disciplined. Maybe you are actually looking for something else, or maybe this question will make you realize that you’re compromising too much of yourself. . ✨
Instead of saying, “I don’t have the money,” consider what you do have money for. Do you have beautiful clothes in your closet you haven’t worn in years? #Poshmark that sh*t Are you “broke” by paying Starbucks to make your coffee everyday? Make it yourself at home. Do you think personal trainers are expensive, but drop $85 on getting your nails done a few times a month? If making an investment in your own body is below acrylics & coffee, be honest about if you are actually making your health a priority, or just your appearance. . ✨
When you take a moment to have these open and honest conversations with yourself you may find that you have everything you need to make the changes you want to see happen. You just have to decide what you’re willing to do & take action.
This dress did not fit me well when I bought it and then it only got tighter. It felt good to wear it to my husband’s company Christmas party and not even feel like I needed shapewear. Even standing next to my beautiful daughter all ready for formal 😊
Another weekend gone but it was a great one, there is only 2 weeks and a few days till 2019.
Boy do I have so much to put in the trash before the new year is here, I'm on a path to reinvent myself and self discovering.
The ghosts of 2018 will not interfere with my future for 2019, I'm so happy I already got started!
Well time to get some rest, I hope everyone had a great weekend, have a goodnight and sweet dreams. 😴💤😪🤸♀️☔🙏💜😊
Who ate all the mince pies?
Mince pies are a national treasure, but 'one too many' could cost you your hard-earned gains. As many of us prepare to eat about 6,000 calories on Christmas Day, researchers warn any weight gain can easily stick around.
One in 12 households (UK) has already bought mince pies – with £4million spent on them in September alone. Did you know mince pies were originally known as Christmas pies? and contained very different ingredients from the ones we eat today. They included rabbit, pigeon, partridge, hare and pheasant, as well as dried fruit and spices! So actually.. they were somewhat nutritionally dense in protein, who woulda thought.
Today your mince pie is going to set you back at least 218 calories for a retailers own brand; and if you want the fancy ones, forget it- you're looking at 260 to even up to 300 calories per pie. Yikes. Running off a mince pie containing 218 calories would take 18-21 minutes, while to walk it off would take 40 minutes, so imagine if you eat 3.. or 6 over a few days. Moderation is key folks, don't be a mince pie monster this Christmas 🤣
Some tips for your Sunday that I meant to post hours ago 😅
1. When you have to chop an onion, always chop more than you need and throw it in the fridge/freezer to use later in the week.
2. When you chop your onion, add in some celery. Anytime you can sneak extra veggies into a dish, do it, whether it’s for your kids or yourself.
3. To help with onion tears, put a little bowl with water and a couple of drops of OnGuard on or near your cutting board. When you’re done chopping, you can add some dish soap to the bowl of water and OnGuard and use its cleansing power to wash your dishes.

i did a post back in june talking about my struggle with comparing myself to my sister and occasionally those feelings do still exist, but i’ve grown to celebrate our individual strengths and how we are both so different but get along so well. she has been nothing but supportive to me during this journey (even tho she hates working out) and we even recorded a lil hiit workout for yall today😂😂 it’s going to go up some time this week. overall though, i just want you guys to know that just because you look different than someone else doesn’t mean that you aren’t beautiful or worthy or capable or strong. everyone has their individuality for a reason. keep being you!!💕
Yesterday, I hit 50 lbs lost since May! I am really excited about it. I’ve vaguely talked about a 2019 adventure list I’ve created - (maybe I’ll share one day; it’s nothing crazy, just local activities I want to do). I haven’t felt fit enough to try these activities but next spring/summer I think I’ll be able to!
For my #weightloss, I have no secrets diets or pills over here, just eating smaller portions, using moderation in all things, doing #cardio, circuits, weights, drinking about a gallon of water every day, resting when I feel like I need it, and trying, but not doing a great job of, getting a full nights sleep.
I was thinking about the keys to weight loss today and I really think it comes down to consistency and patience. Keep moving forward (even if it’s slowly) and eventually the weight will come off!
We all start somewhere and we all have our own unique stories to tell. People are always asking me how I stay so motivated and this is it right here. When you work so hard day after day to accomplish your goals and you start to see progress from your hard work it makes the fire inside you burn a little brighter and bigger 😎🔥
P.S. I hate working upper body but can we take a second to peep those baby biceps and shoulders 👀

The girl on the left was going into her senior year of college and was heading into another year of living off of breakfast burritos, pints of Ben & Jerry’s, and sugary alcohol drinks. I never cared what I was putting into my body during my college years 😟
3 years later, about 50 pounds down, a lifestyle change, and a whole lot of patience between the 2 pictures 🙆🏼♀️
So excited for 2019 and for another year of learning this lifestyle and continuing on with the #mealplanbabes 🙌🏻
*also not sure what I was doing in the first picture but I was just excited to see Luke Bryan okaaaay?! 😂

October ➡️ December, but here’s the kicker: I weigh exactly the same in both these pictures. And while it’s not a huge transformation, I feel much stronger and much healthier in the picture on the right. I’m starting to see little changes in my body; my face is less puffy, I’m actually starting to have a jawline again, and my clothes are fitting better. The biggest factor has been joining @cyclebar_briercreek. I started two months ago barely able to finish a class, and now I go ~4 times per week. I’m setting and hitting person goals in class that I never would’ve dreamed of a few months ago. It’s inspired me to be more active outside of Cyclebar too. I’m hitting the snooze button less, walking more, and not flopping down on the couch exhausted when I get home from work. Weight truly is just a number, but sometimes it takes seeing a side by side like this to really believe it. #proud#cantstopwontstop#krissyskitchen
