Comparison is the thief of joy. But we're constantly doing it aren't we? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Worrying that we're not enough, don't have enough of a following, aren't getting enough bookings. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Truth is, you have absolutely no idea what is going on in anyone else's business other than yours. Social media is essentially a game and people can say whatever they like without any underlying fact. So stay focussed on what matters - being the best you can be at whatever it is that you are fabulous at, and stop comparing yourself to a stranger on the internet.
Happy Saturday! If you have a wedding this weekend I hope it goes amazingly, if not then I hope you can enjoy some R&R 😘

Branding. Mood board. Design Mood.
Mood boards are literally boards, most of the time they are digital, what you design by using different kinds of things from photos to textures and materials so they can visualize your business ideas and concepts. Mood boards are meant to transfer the right mood and emotions what you want your couples to experience when they open your website, social media and get in touch with you.
Mood boards are necessary to help your designer understand your dreams and aims. This way you can easily communicate your feelings and vision to the person who will work on your branding and make your dream to reality.

Getting to incorporate this into my baked goods is a dream come true!!! 🍪My love for all things sweet has been present since I was a little girl, baking Italian cookies in the kitchen with my grandmother! ⛰I love spending time with my family & friends, meeting new people, traveling and being outdoors (when I have time🤪) especially in this beautiful place we live in!🏕 🐵I love animals. I wouldn’t call myself a crazy cat lady yet....but I might be headed in that direction😹💗

Congratulations to my incredibly creative friends at @bellabelleshoes for the launch of their beautiful new Edelweiss collection! .
When the ladies at @bellabelleshoes asked me to create a custom cage veil for this campaign I wanted it to evoke the delicate nature of the Edelweiss flower they selected for the inspiration for this new collection. This bloom signifies love and devotion and is plucked from some of the rarest locations in the world. Each bloom on the cage veil was delicately cut and created from a single piece of lace and dotted with Swarovski pearls to mimic dew drops.
Last week was #nationalweddingplannerday , and though I didn’t get an opportunity to join in on posting something positive directed towards our industry, I figured it’s always better to be late than never.
As a professional in this very competitive and niche field, I’m very proud to be part of a community that is incredibly supportive of each other’s successes, creative expression and emotional well-being. Nothing made me happier than to be tagged and then read posts from industry peers from all over the world writing positive messages full of sweet affirmations about our community.
The truth is, the title of Wedding Planner doesn’t even come close to the description of what we do - we are planners, designers, money managers, therapists, personal shoppers, etiquette masters, trend setters, style makers, visionaries, networkers, confidants, cheer leaders, risk takers & dream manifesters. These days I relate more with the title of Event Producer because it feels much more all encompassing since “planning” is only a small part of what we manage in our capacity. Also, unlike other event professionals in different fields, wedding professionals absorb and process a tremendous amount of stress, negativity and fear from clients and vendors on top of our own personal perfectionism. I learned very quickly that my peers are my best resource to sustaining longevity as only they truly understand me. It’s my trusted colleagues that pick me up when I’m defeated, not my partner. It’s them who I truly seek approval from when I put out my best work and who I consider my “other family”. With that said, cheers my fellow Wedding Producers! Thank you for making me better, being a source of inspiration and unwavering support in this very hard yet incredibly rewarding career path.
