We love the Pond Estate because of the number of ceremony locations you can find on site. Iris + Michael said their “I do’s” in the indoor pool area because of the unexpected rain. It turned out to be pretty dang magical 🌵
Flashing back to the time I was bestowed the tremendous honour of of weaving together this floral fabric that served as the carpet and the altar upon which my dear friends Dana and Tom were wed.
The significance runs deep. Mandalas are the ultimate symbol of union and connection ~ a reminder of the interconnectedness of all things ~ from microcosm, the smallest representative of matter, to the vast macrocosm, that is the great swirl of the galaxy.
So in this context, we gathered to celebrate the celestial union of two souls, as witnessed by 150 of their nearest and dearest, as well as their long-lost relatives - the 🌞 , the 🌝 and the 🌊 . They chose to be wed in the centre, of the centre, of the centre of the sphere, a concentric symbol of love everlasting ~ reminiscent of wedding bands that are exchanged.
Before the bride and groom entered this zone of transformation, I invited each guest to contribute to the design to help lay the foundation of their love and literally set the stones upon which they would be wed. Each guest chose a pebble and infused it with their blessings for the couple before placing it in the mandala, so we could surround them in our love, as they expressed their love for one another.
So grateful, all ways, to share my passions with purpose.
