Running on the grass 🌱 Apply for a feature following the link in our bio and we will publish your photos in our account: @RunningFervor 🙌🏼 This kind of running can be a great addition to your training program. A softer surface improves balance and strength, and it can help prevent impact injuries.
Running on the grass requires more strength to run quickly. If you are training for an ultra-marathon, organize your grass training early in your schedule to build your stamina and strength. You will definitely see a difference when you come back on your usual trail tracks.📍Istanbul, Turkey 🌍 (📷: @nevallina) Follow @RunningFervor for more.

We were sore and tired from long work days and did NOT feel like going for a run. But we’ve been seeing all your running shots in the rain, snow and sleet, while LA is having beautiful warm weather. We realized we have no excuse, and got our butts out there for one of the prettiest sunsets we’ve seen all year. Thanks for the inspiration, everyone!📍Santa Monica, California 🌎 #RunningTerritory (📷: @livehardxlovehard) Follow @RunningTerritory for more.

Every Thursday I go for an organised group run which is great as it gives me a break from the athletics track, this Thursday we did a 7.5k run (I had the settings on map my run as a cycle and not run so that’s why the calories burnt isn’t correct🤭). Tonight I went for a bike ride on my brand new bike just to test the waters as I haven’t rode one in 2 years!! It was really fun but strange as my legs weren’t used to pushing along in that way, I tried to go quite steadily and for a short distance as I was slightly weary at first🚴🏻♀️ then I came home and did around 30 mins of abs and then 15 ish minutes of hiit💘🌱the triathlon training starts now🚴🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️
It was a fabulous day, the weather was perfect. Not hot, not cold, and all I had to do, it was just run. But sometimes shit happens! 🤷🏼♀️ Well, but even if it happens you need to keep smiling 😂😉

I did it! I completed the swim! (Not my best time by a long shot but I’ll take it) I was so happy coming out of the swim I began crying. My last tri I was pulled from the ocean during the swim due to SIPE, I was devastated. I felt defeated. At that moment I told myself I should drop out of training for this race. That there was NO WAY I could finish a 70.3. Here I am, out of the water! Dried off a bit, threw on a jacket & got on my saddle & prepared for the ride. Into my 1st few miles I saw the pros finishing their bike course. At that moment I realized I was racing a half Ironman! I have dreamt of this! I told myself to take it all in. Enjoy the moment & keep a smile on my face, because I was doing this. I was into my second sport & that much closer to my goal & to focus on the now.
Remember: safety first 😂
If you have to have surgery, might as well make it as fun as possible. You might get some crazy looks, but who cares? 🤷🏻♀️ Surgery went well and I got lucky by getting union with a basic plate (versus hook plate, which I did NOT want). I’m lucky to have my amazing husband, @mg_gun_life and best friend @kla_renee (AKA my sister, according to some nurses) who surrounded me with love, laughs, smiles, and shenanigans this morning. Thank you for all the love + support + prayers + good vibes I’ve already gotten. I am one fortunate lady to have such rad people in my life ⚡️
This is all from 2018! I’m exhausted and I’m still recovering from my nice long swim in 57.1 degree water, I’m missing two toes nails and I’m still single,,, 😂 ! I’m not looking forward to next year! And Track and Field is right around the corner! #triathlon#triathlete#5k#exhausted
Hoje ficou assim:
Amanhã tem mais pedal, SÓ NÃO SEI COM QUE PERNAS EU VOU!

See this stair stepper behind me?
Well it has become my new friend.
It's about the closest thing to running that I can do right now as my foot continues to heal.
I am up to 100 rpms (?) which generates a pretty good sweat for a chick like me. I still have so much quad strength to get back and yes, one leg is skinnier than the other if you look real closely.
I will get there. In God's time.
This is an example of one of those little victories on the road to recovery which is paved with all kinds of blessings.
Train the mind as often as you train the body.
Training the mind often gets neglected in the busy hustle of everyday life. The body however is only as strong as the mindset that drives it. If you can master your mind your body will follow.
To train my mind I meditate on a daily basis. This helps me be more present in my training and everyday life.
Being more present in training leads to a greater awareness of your body movements. This is key to maintaining good form throughout a training session or race, especially when the body starts to fatigue and the mind starts to lose focus.
