To the sons and daughters of an abusive or absent parent, please summons an ounce of humility and responsibility to seek a professional’s help to address your “issues,” particularly before making the decision to enter a “serious” relationship or have a child. One might like to believe they have successfully resolved childhood hurts and traumas on their own or after a handful of counseling sessions, but oftentimes insidious, destructive learned behaviors and unfulfilled longings that lurk in the depths of the mind and heart will surface (and resurface) at some point in life, potentially devastating the lives of “loved ones” or individuals with whom you have no relation. Please remember we are all works in progress.
Cheers, love & light, dearies. xx

The purple iris represents wisdom, respect, and compliments, and its name was inspired by the Greek goddess Iris, or the Rainbow Goddess. Interestingly enough, a rainbow graced us with her presence while dining, before I shot this photo... Makes coincisense.

The yellow lotus flower is used as a symbol of creativity, knowledge, and confidence.
Found this lady slipper out back, tucked beneath a pine tree. 😻 "Yet shy and proud among the forest flowers,
In maiden solitude,
Is one whose charm is never wholly ours,
Nor yielded to our mood:
One true-born blossom, native to our skies,
We dare not claim as kin,
Nor frankly seek, for all that in it lies,
The Indian's Moccasin." The Moccasin Flower, Elaine Goodale Eastman, 1879

"Ask Your Bookmaker!" So awesome listening to lovely and inspiring local artists share their creative process. Also, so grateful for the frequent interactive workshops held at the library. 🐛📚🎨
so im late to the party BUT... for those who haven't heard, instagram has officially started rolling out hiding likes 😮 and i HATE IT 😂 what do you guys think?? i would love to hear some opposing ideas!!
i'd love to think instagram's made this choice out of the goodness of their hearts but let's be real - this is a business decision, and most likely has 0 to do with users' mental health and everything to do with adapting the algorithm for more aggressive marketing strategies 🙄
i think hiding likes just means people will obsess over followers instead - and i think this will just make it easier to fake influence on an already fake af platform.
i've worked SO hard to build an authentic audience here but FUCK sometimes i really do just want to throw in the towel and buy 20k followers so that someone will fly me to the maldives too 😂😭
this just feels like another big F U from insta 😭 i love y'all but i'm glad i've been focusing my energy on blogging instead lately bc at least hard work pays off there and analytics matter 🙏🏼
im skeptical but we'll see how it all plays out. what do you guys think? ❤️
💕I couldn’t have imagined such a peaceful and romantic cemetery exists until I saw the photos on IG. So I spent the first morning in Singapore going to see it in person. What a pity the flowers are no longer in full bloom. Still I enjoyed the walk around the cemetery.💕
