I'm not very good with words, and I'm not a writer at all, but there are some photographs that bring the story teller out of me, so if you like stories, here's a super-late Holiday story for you:
We spent Christmas in Lake Tahoe last year, and on Christmas Eve after having spent the whole afternoon playing in the snow, we came back to our cabin. Snow and rain had slowed down, we got dinner ready, and when the clock was about to hit midnight the power went out. We were a little upset because that meant we were going to have to call it a night earlier than we are used to on Christmas eve. But my husband and I decided to go outside to see how many houses had no power. When I looked up I realized how beautiful the sky looked, I quickly went back in to get my camera.
All the clouds had drifted off towards the mountains and they left behind this beautiful starry night sky framed by the trees that surrounded our cabin. It was lovely. It was all I could've asked for to start off a new day, Christmas day.
So go outside and look up at the sky, it tells stories... And in this case, it inspired one ❤️
