I was an idiot yesterday and got a terrible sunburn. That meant that today I had every inch covered while I was on the water. Hooked onto a ton of little browns on some of my favorite water in the state.

Sag pulls from the flies spoiling dead drift, and dead drift is the key factor.
The best way to remove sag is reduce the mass of both the line and the leader.
One solution could be to use a very thin fly line (euro nymphing lines). There will still be some sag
The best solution us a very long, thin monofilament in place of the line
Long leaders provide more reach and effectiveness and better drifts.
..... One of the best nylons to use for the long leader is “Pezon & Michel color line” in 0.16 to 0.20 mm. Just prepare your rig in a rigging foam spool and make the connection with a simple knot, you’ll be ready to go and switch from contact nymphing to other techniques and vice versa in less than a minute.

A very special thank you to @livelylegz!!!! I got to break in my new Syndicate and boy oh boy is it amazing!!! You guys are some of the coolest and down to earth guys I know. Thank you for all your tips! It's always a blast when we get out on the water, until next time keep your lines tight! 🎣❤️🐟 .
Recently whilst fishing the #norforkriver I was alerted by a fellow fisherman on a kayak that generation for the day had started. Whilst putting some things away in preparation for the walk back I noticed a school of rainbow trout holding directly downstream from me. They were only sporadically feeding at first. As the water level started rising the rainbows started enjoying the abundance of food throughout the water column! I was able to capture a few short clips to share with you. I hope you enjoy.
Heading to a place where the browns know my name 😉. Last minute solo mission before runoff makes it inaccessible...flows are already high for this spot and 🤞for some streamer eats. Here’s amazing photo that @rherrmannphotog took the last time we were out. 🍻 to the weekend everyone! Hope you all get out and enjoy this beautiful planet of ours.
