This is our awesome @beat.fitness trainer Steph who has been working hard on her recommended foot exercises to rehab and repair her flat and fallen arches. This is about 2-3months of work and we will repost another as she progresses. If you aren't addressing your foot issues with the right active rehab and repair protocols the feet will continue to disrupt the entire kinetic chain upward.
This is why @beat.fitness
And @turack.chiropractic we recommend barefoot training so we can evaluate your only contact point with the earth and ensure that you are training correctly.
I’m more lost than ever and in serious need of a lint roller because of all the fuzzy sweaters I wear!
Chapters keep closing.
Almost like I’m going through some pages faster than expected.
In a way, your a little upset that one part of the story has ended.
anxious and excited to see where the story will continue to go.
I have been manifesting some big dreams.
But they are very very small pieces to the entire puzzle.
An art piece that may never be finished.
The sweet sweet taste of determination and hard work ✨💕
Just keep manifesting your dreams, one puzzle piece at a time x
Didn’t get a post in yesterday, but got the WOD done 👍🏻 Run 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Haven’t ran this distance in 2 years 😨 and I was a collegiate cross country runner! 😅 my PR pace in college was 6:30/mile, it’s obvious I’m nowhere near that right now! But it felt great to get out and run a bit longer than I have been running and push myself again!
Vivo: Good enough? Read below👇👇 Vivo footwear is probably the most successful barefoot brand so far. Not only they offer a big variety of designs (which I like a lot) but they also have relatively solid pricing varying from around $100 to $300.
Are they good enough though? They definitely offer the best designs, which is lovely, but after working long enough on your feet, you'll find out that even these aren't wide enough and will be limiting for your feet. So for start these are probably your best choice. But eventually you'll want to switch to something wider and unfortunately less elegant. However, recently Vivo has introduced the African line, where the shoes are fairly wider than regular Vivos, and might suit most people. They also have awesome designs😍
Happy feet👣 to y'all 🖤
Hello Friday 🌞 5 mile recovery run along the sand that hasn’t been swept away from the promenade. Felt like I had enough energy for to sprint, but quickly reminded myself its supposed to be a recovery run! Tomorrow’s a recovery day, which will involve 1hr on the turbo trainer, stretching & foam roller! Happy Friday peeps💕

If you want ANY information regarding this class - what it involves, location, prices, anything 😎 - then send me a message and I’ll get back to you 🤩
We already have a few new faces booked in so don’t be afraid to be the only newbie there 😅
Self promo over, have a good day 🌞
My two most favorite vegan products: @vivobarefoot shoes and my new @charliefeist bag😍
I almost froze to death during this shoot🥶 Believe me, every single time I finally grabbed the foot properly, stupid wind came with full force throwing me off balance with additional freezing-to-the-freaking-bone effects🤦♀️ My fingers are still recovering🤷♀️ But I had to do this one, because of how great and open I feel today🙌 Although my shoulders look closed as any other one😅 And I wanted a pic outside, you all getting bored of my “LED curtain” Christmas lights probably🤨 <===== YES that’s the name of the lights if you want the same ones!!! And be boring like me, I am not going to be angry, I also stole that idea from someone else🥳
BTW, that poor girl in the background went down there to smoke, just so I had space to shoot😂😭🙈
My partner complained yesterday, I can’t write seamless text for caption, this one is proving he was right😏
Transparency note: the backpack is a #prsample and I love it! It fits all my 💩, notebook and camera and looks amazing♥️ Shoes I bought myself, although since then I started to collaborate with the brand a little☺️ #unpaidpromotion

MOST SHOES AREN’T SHAPED LIKE FEET (BUT OUR FEET ARE STARTING TO BE SHAPED LIKE SHOES)
While recent evidence suggests humans started wearing foot protection some 40,000 years ago (that’s a long time!) today’s shoes are based on designs made for riding horses a couple of hundred years ago; narrow, to fit into a stirrup, as well as stiff and rigid to, well, ride horses.
Nothing against footwear to ride horses – but for all shoes? Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
Suddenly the ‘normal’ silhouette of the shoes on the left (compromising feet) doesn’t seem so innocent, after all.
At VivoKids we make our shoes foot-shaped, not shoe-shaped: designed to be as close to barefoot as possible because we believe feet that grow bare grow stronger and healthier.
After all, our feet are an awesome gift from evolution – let’s let them grow to their full potential!

Wearing cramped shoes with a lifted toe and too much sitting allows the big toes to get weak. Treat your big toes to a spot of toe-ga to rebuild that strength back.

USE IT OR LOSE IT – ARE WE MAKING OUR BODIES ATROPHY? @vivobarefoot.kids
Roger Kneebone, professor of surgical education at London’s Imperial College, says young medical students spend so much time on screens they lack the dexterity needed to stitch up patients. ”Students get high exam grades but lack tactile general knowledge," he said at an event for the Edge Foundation, which pushes for creativity in UK school’s curriculum. ”Before you could assume young people could do practical things - cutting things out, making things – that’s no longer the case.” If we don’t use our bodies, we lose its skills.
So what does a lifetime of normal shoes do to our feet? Like wearing a cast, normal shoes are stiff, narrow and rigid: they can wreck the form and function of feet as they grow.
And then we see sedentary adulthoods always on chairs and screens, complaining of back and foot pain.
Our feet are awesome evolutionary gifts of biomechanical engineering – let’s keep them that way.
