People are often surprised when they find out that I grew up in Germany. I guess that judging from the outside, neither my geographical location, nor my name, hobbies or haircolor are ‘typically German’. But what is typical anything anyways?
I believe that in this life we can be exactly who and what we want to be. My path has lead me to become a designer, a surfer and a yogi. Especially the ladder two I could never have imagined when I was younger. But you get exposed to different things as you get older and you get new ideas.. All you have to do is follow your intuition and you might become someone completely unexpected (for you). Do you do anything or have any traits that other people consider ‚atypical‘ for whatever reason?

If you don’t get a photo here, did you even go to Sri Lanka? Jokes aside, this place feels like you are standing in a piece of art. You feel a part of it, become part of it. Tucked away from he main road, down a dirt road and a short steep climb on foot and you’re there. This obscure piece of land juts away from the mainland, but you wouldn’t know it was there unless you were looking for it. This place I have seen photographed many times, but no picture or caption will ever do it justice. You just have to see it for yourself ✨
Climbed the steps to Adam’s Peak yesterday. Easily one of the best experiences in my life so far! 😍 Now we are back in Colombo for 3 days before taking a flight to Thailand. Gonna try and catch up on some vlogs and just relax for a bit. Sri Lanka has been amazing ❤️ #visitsrilanka

If you didn't know already, we have a massive love for animals. Monkey's are a personal favourite of ours and we have been lucky enough to see so many on our travels so far. It's so interesting to watch them interact and play. We absolutley love it when they display human manorisms like sitting with their legs dangling off a tree branch or sifting through and inspecting the contents of a bag. We have seen monkeys playing with mobile phones they've found, mugging tourists for their take aways and robbing restaraunts for any food they can get their hands on. Give us a giggle and tell us any funny monkey stories you have from your travels.
As long as I have you, I have everything okay ❤️
Our relaxing lovely romantic last evening in Sri Lanka turned into a hectic night. Well have you ever missed your flight as you thought it’s leaving the next day? 😅 yes that happened to us. Or actually we are on our way to the airport now and not sure will we make it. We had ordered the food at the restaurant when I just checked what time our flight should leave TOMORROW evening. Then it turned out that our flight leaves in three and half hours, we are still in hikkaduwa, we haven’t packed our luggages and we don’t have a ride to the airport. It should take around 2,5hours to drive to the airport. Some kind locals called to place to another one and got a ride to us half an hour late. Now we still don’t know will we make it there in time. Stay tuned, I’ll let you know tomorrow how it turned out. 🙈
So have you ever thought that your flight is leaving some other day that it really leaves? Have you ever missed your flight?
UPDATE: We made it! We got into the flight and just arrived to Kuala Lumpur! Can you believe it?!? I can’t 😅

Just casually chilling while waiting for the waves 🌊 .
One of the best things here in Sri Lanka has been surfing! Still just a beginner but learned a lot here! Hiriketya beach wasn’t the best beach for surfing though. It was so flat most of the time and there were waves coming like every 20minutes. If you didn’t catch the wave, well then you needed to wait another 20minutes haha. So it was more just chilling than surfing.
I’m not a person who would love to sunbath for the whole day. I need something to do. Surfing is a good break of sunbathing.
Do you like to sunbath for the whole day or do you also need something to do?

It has taken for me also for a long time to grow as I’m now and it will take time that I’ll grow to be a person that I really want to be.
Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage to make your decisions, own plans, go to the right direction to be the person that you want to be. It may be scary but sometimes you have to stop being scared and just go for it. Either it will work out or not. That’s life. You will learn from it or then something great will come of it.
📸 @mirocs and thank you always encouraging me ❤️ loving me ❤️ supporting me ❤️ and being there for me ❤️
Evenings at 'Coconut Tree Hill' ❤️ You can never get tired sitting here and watching the changing colors of the evening sky 📸 Beautiful view in Mirissa by by @davidharin89 🙏🏻
How do you interpret this quote? - “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” - Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad / Roughing It 🤔

I never even thought about going to Sri Lanka until talking to other backpackers I met who all described it as one of their favorite places, the more time I spend here the more I understand why
