The Lighthouse Crowd
Tourists, runners, tourists, photographers, chirping birds, tourists, 10 year old kids with iPads that stand in front of your lens taking selfies, tourists, those kids that got dragged up here by Mum and Dad but couldn’t care less about a sunrise, tourists, and tourists.
I’ve only seen a handful of long phallic structures that specialise in light emission. This one in particular had some extra emission going on just behind it, which I guess is what the crowd came to see.
Many thanks to Rod @planetscapes_photography for your local knowledge and helping me along the way. A pleasure to finally meet you mate.🍻
Another must-see location of mine that I’ve been able to tick off on this trip thanks @letsgomotorhomes. Byron is one of those places that always delivers no matter what time year. There’s always something fun going on in one of Australia’s most laid back coastal towns.👌🏼
All good things come to an end and so does our trip to Vincentia, Jervis Bay. ⠀
Three key thoughts in my head while we are heading back to Sydney:⠀
⠀1. I have to go on a diet after this trip 🙄
⠀2. There are no mosquitos in Vincentia, we were safe with open windows after dusk 🤩
⠀3. I have to go on a diet ASAP 😂
P.S. The car of the trip was Toyota ESTIMA Aeras 2005. It took in lots of white sand and heaps of wet swimmers without a blink. ⠀
P.P.S. Wine of the trip was Grands LES MUARINS (Merlo Cabernet, Bordeaux ). Courtesy by Aldi 😜 And also Henkell champagne on arrival. Can't remember the rest... ⠀

X marks the spot. ⚔️🏝️ There are some places in our big backyard, like waterfalls and waves, that are out there waiting to be discovered, but instead of giving directions, we've marked them with an X and it's up to you to find the treasure. 💫 The search is half the adventure.
Just watch out for the pirates!👨🎤Swipe to see.
Some days certainly aren't perfect. There are sharp stinging March flies as big as tennis balls, sneaky sealice that make the kids squeal, bluebottles that scare us out of the water, despite the sweltering surrounds. Or it's raining and we're stuck living together in a total area smaller than our old bedroom (and who trekked all that freaking mud in?!!!). Then you realise: you're travelling Australia with your family, months of endless summers and new adventures. You have entire beaches to yourself. And bluebottles are pretty beautiful when you look properly.
Next stop: YAMBA!
