I felt an overwhelming amount of Texas Pride standing in the Rio Grande ❤️💙 I also felt an overwhelming amount of disappointment in myself for forgetting to bring my Texas Flag bikini on this trip. #sunburnedbuthappy

Emory Peak, the tallest point in #bigbendnationalpark . It’s hard to beat camping in the #chisosbasin . Mountains in Texas, almost 8,000 feet up when you make it to the summit. That’s not too shabby! Here’s some pics of the scenery, I’m using the Chisos Basin from the summit. Big Bend is one of the most unique parks, if not the most unique. Forest, river, multiple mountain ranges in two nations, desert, and a port of entry into another nation. This was on my second trip to the park, which was last year. Big Bend was the main reason I joined IG. #visitbigbend#mexico#exploretexas#visittexas#emorypeak#emorypeaksummit
I’ve done a few of these exploding star photos before but this time I took a different approach. If you watched my IG stories, you would have seen that the sky was actually captured in camera like that. This wasn’t an effect added in photoshop. Should I do more of these?

“Continuous energy and matter that’s black.
Send me to you, where I place the tack.
Edging the sharpness right into my map.
Warping through time in a single galactic path.
Life takes me swiftly, light years in a flash.
Tunnel visioned sight, missing moments I can’t rehash.
Over to you, I know that’s my flight.
The warm cozy feels, the ones that feel right”.

This was really just a test shot. I know the skies are crazy dark so I wanted to take the opportunity to test out the limitations of my camera and its sensor.
I shot the sky at 16k iso and 20 seconds (2.8) - Stacked 19 shots... Which for those of you who don’t partake in photography is ridiculously high in ISO. Overall I’m pleased with the outcome of the sky. I stuck around an extra hour just so I could get a moon lit foreground from this composition and have an easy blend 😁📷
Tonight I’m going to test 20k ISO so stay tuned for the outcome.📷
“Ancient relics of the desert filled sky.
Creatures whom roam, bats that fly.
This land, once ocean- barren and dry.
Blizzardy cold that’s been burnt and died.
Changes the world has only one witness.
Infinite moments that are gone with the quickness. “.
