I wrote a poem. I wrote a poem about @velocityfrequentflyer which is the rewards program for @virginaustralia. In that poem, I squeezed as many actual facts about said rewards program as possible. I then recorded the poem by hunching over a small microphone propped up by clothes on a crowded shelf in a wardrobe and channeling the voice of an odd old man who is regaling us all with what’s sure to be everyone’s new favourite festive poem just in time for Christmas. I then edited a video for it using emojis because emojis are better looking than my actual head. And now it’s here, on the line, 2 versions (1 with subtitles and 1 without - just keep swiping right) and festively capped off with the hashtag: #Earnbassador. Happy Days✌️
Finally home.. I got moved to another flight coming back from Perth but had to go via Adelaide & seperated from my band mates (good one Virgin)
Although im spent, the gig in Perth was great & im excited to be moving into my own place tomorrow... so no complaints here! ✌️

Look how excited I look! I can’t help but smile back at my image. I’d bid for an upgrade on my @virgin flights and ended up upgraded on every flight which added to the joy I already felt flying. Champagne can’t help but make you feel like celebrating life and the wonderful cabin steward Candice was as full of positive bubbles as the glass she kept refilling. I’ve been reflecting on the trip and reminding myself it was ME that made it all happen. It was ME that spoke to a stranger on the cruise it was ME who emailed first it was ME that just booked a flight when the airline flight sale email popped up ME that took the chance followed my intuition and ME that made a commitment to MYSELF to be my beautiful imperfect authentic and very much vulnerable self. No expectations simply being in the moment and making the most of every experience (and upgrade) that presented. It isn’t easy to start really living your best life. It can be really hard saying yes to new things. It can feel risky being emotionally vulnerable. My journey stepping out and travelling solo started when I was 18 it was a running away story for years until I was much older and started travelling to find out about my strengths. My first trip to New Zealand in 2010 was to face the fear of travelling solo after my marriage had ended - my ten year passport had almost expired without a single page stamped and New Zealand was the safest and closest ‘overseas’ place I could think of to go. Several countries another hemisphere and many roadtrips later I’m a much more confident woman comfortable in my own skin open to whatever whomever wherever is in front of me. You can do it you know. You can take that chance make that change you just have to take the first step or book the first flight or speak to that person first... #ificandoitsocanyou#perennialwoman#perennialwisdom#takeachance#bookthatflight#virginairlines#travel#adventure#relationship#dream#mindsetiseverything
