Andddd I’m still dressed bc now going to a friends giving. So you could actually say, half lazy day half not😅

Oh skin removal surgery. My skin removal journey has been a long one to say the least. I think losing weight is not just a physical battle but a huge mental battle as well. With my body weighing over 500 pounds, to losing 350 pounds, to then having 5 skin removal procedures so far....I would say my body has been through a lot. It carried me at 500 pounds, and still to this day, help carrying me through this skin removal journey and still continues to love take care of me! Some people will argue that skin removal is just cosmetic (and please do not get me started on that nonsense) but from someone who mentally and physically struggles with all of the loose skin my body has I beg to differ- because I know it is so much more than just “cosmetic”. Going through these procedures has been some of the hardest things I have ever had to go through, while at the same time I could not be happier with the results, how I feel and with my surgeon @joelbeckmd
I know I did a 3 part Q&A with Dr Beck where we answered some generic information about skin removal- but I thought it would be fun to sit down with him and film a video all about MY specific surgeries. I asked him to guess which was the most painful surgery for me, which one am I / was I most excited for, how did I seem the day of surgery and if he knew what moment made me realize he was the perfect surgeon for me. Having him guess these answers was so fun and his answers surprised me a little bit. 😜

Repost from @phillearney ... I can tell you that this right here is the truth. I once weighed over between 190/200 pounds. Although I would lift and I was in decent shape, and I say “decent” shape. I was very sloppy from the way I looked and defenetly the way I ate. I ate a lot of gluten. Breads,.... I’m talking like 2 peanut butter and jelly Sandwiches before bed with a huge glass of milk. Then I would wake In the middle of the night slam a bowl of cereal then go back to bed. I ate chocolate on the regular.... once I cut the gluten, dairy and the chocolate, I started eating better foods the weight came off instantly. Most don’t understand that you can go to the gym everyday but if your diet is shit.... your just spinning your wheels. It took me a very long time to realize that. Try it.... you will be amazed with the results. 🗡🛡

❗️PORTION SIZE MATTER❗️
🔎If your aiming for fat loss, you should be aware of your portion sizes. Especially when you’re not counting your calories. 💅🏻 cuz few hundred calories there and there can add up and lead you to scratching your head as to why you aren’t smashing your goals.
☝🏻This post is just an example, I’m not saying you should stay away from avocados. Omg. Never. 🥑 is an amazing source of monounsaturated fat, potassium and fiber. And why I chose to set an example for avocado is simply because I’ve noticed the wide range of Avo sizes 👀 so as you can see, tracking “one avocado “ can be very misleading. So be aware of this if your using tracking apps.
