Been alot of great questions lately of how well the Original Pull Pal works in various snow conditions. Here’s an excerpt from the only wheeled vehicle Expedition to summit Mt.Washington in winter “The Pull-Pal went either partially down or disappeared completely into the snow. But once there, it didn't change it's position a bit. No matter how hard we pulled. Come to think about it I personally liked the Pull-Pal better than a tree or any other anchor along the wayside. Simply because the ones along the road were never straight in front of the winch. And pulling a cable at an angle onto the drum can easily damage the wire. With the Pull-Pal the pulling point can always be established straight ahead as long as you find something to dig into. What surprised me the most was, that it was very easy to pull up the device from it's frosty grave. No Schwarzenegger muscles needed.” Link in bio
Mini-Beast let me down today, voltage meter went from 13.2v to 8v and she stopped. Luckily I was near this layby and a cool mini. Lease on learnt don't let the roadside recovery lapse people you never know when you'll be 40 miles from on a country lane with no phone signal... #wednesdaymorning South Carolina Army National Guard Soldiers from the 118th Forward Support Company stage recovery equipment to provide support for disabled vehicles during the lane reversal of I-26 in North Charleston, South Carolina, Sept. 11, 2018. Approximately 2,000 Soldiers and Airmen have been mobilized to prepare, respond and participate in recovery efforts as forecasters project Hurricane Florence to remain a Category 4 storm as it makes landfall along the Carolinas' east coast. Take a good look at these Factor 55 products before we destroy them this afternoon. We are going into the test lab for some additional destructive testing of our new products. This is all part of the refinement process. Part of any proper engineering process is to validate theoretical values through lab and real world field testing. We take pride in this disciplined approach in designing Factor 55 winch safety products. There are no shortcuts to this process.
Does it add more time to the product development process? – Yes.
Does it cost more? – Yes.
Is your safety worth it? – Yes
These test results should be repeatable time and time again. It’s the reason that Factor 55 products are manufactured from USA sourced materials with lot traceability. We have discovered through extensive testing that foreign sourced materials are inferior in breaking strengths and repeatability. We also see many USA companies claiming their products are Made in the USA with package markings such as “Engineered and assembled in the USA”. Don’t be fooled by this language, if it doesn’t say “Made In The USA”, then it’s not, plain and simple.
Your winch rigging is only as strong as the weakest link, so do yourself a favor and find out which country each piece of your rigging is made. 🇺🇸 #factor55#closedsystemwinching#shadebrigade#precisionengineering#professionalrecovery#itsyourwinchonlysafer#madeinusa#madeintheusa#buyamerican#winch#winchsafer#winchsafety#vehiclerecovery#trailridesmatter#racerecovery#innovationnotimitation
