Could definitely use one of these right about now to cure my back to work blues 😴 This was my first time at pressed and I could’ve had all the samples. Sadly, only the chocolate and vanilla machine were working but they were still delish! I added coconut flakes, chocolate chips and an almond butter drizzle 🍫 it tasted just like froyo but made with only clean ingredients!

my boyfriend was wayyyyy too excited to take this shot 😂 but he did a pretty great job so i can’t really complain. another thanksgiving dish that i’m hooked on! i’ve already devoured most of this maple honeynut squash and brussels dish. the flavor combos are perfect. plus it’s hearty and filling, which are the only two qualifications for any meal to be considered for the thanksgiving spread. adding in maple tahini kale salad truly kicked this up a notch. details below!
what you’ll need...
•honeynut squash •apples •pecan pieces •olive oil/sea salt/maple syrup
toss brussel sprout halves in olive oil and sea salt. in a separate dish toss honeynut squash chunks and apple chunks in olive oil, sea salt, and maple syrup. add all three onto a lined baking sheet with parchment paper. mix together to spread everything out. toss on pecan pieces and bake for 45 minutes on 350, flipping halfway through. once that’s done set aside and prepare the maple tahini kale. ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
maple tahini dressing: 1/4 cup tahini, 1/4 cup maple syrup. 2 tablespoons garlic paste, sea salt. mix everything until well blended (i shook mine in a tupperware).
massage raw kale in a drizzle of olive oil/lemon/sea salt. after a minute dollop a few spoons of the dressing on and massage through for a minute. personally i served this dish cold, so i had the veggies in the fridge for awhile to get chilled and then tossed them with the salad to serve! .

Yesterday was my 7 year vegan anniversary! 💖🙌🎉 On 11-11-11 I met someone at a From Ashes Rise show who inspired me to go vegan, and the next day I started and never looked back. Going vegan was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I have never once doubted it. I went vegan for the animals and it is because of them that I continue to stay vegan. Not just with what I eat, but what i wear, the makeup I buy, the cleaning products I use and more. 💖
We must shift our focus from ourselves and instead see how our actions affect others including non-human animals and this planet. We have the choice to either cause harm or prevent harm, and the greatest way to vote is with your dollar. Every day I do what I can to be the change I want to see. 💫 ~
I was a junk food vegan for a little over a year and then got into raw foods. I am raw for my health and vegan for the animals! Going vegan opened my eyes to how I can be a better person and limit the harm I cause to others, and raw foods helped me feel my best in all aspects of my life. I healed my depression, fatigue, skin issues, anxiety and more on a raw foods diet and I feel better every single day. I'm so grateful I made this switch 7 years ago. Early 2017 I was in denial about the junk I was eating. The whole year prior I was fully raw, but While my wife was pregnant I still ate a lot of fruit and veggies but I also ate things like beans, tacos, soy products, bread, etc. Last year I gained about 30 pounds and I was so bloated my tank tops fit me like crop tops. I've been fully raw again since olive's birth. What made me fail was my addiction to food plus the stress I was under. Now my mind and body are operating on a different level! If you don't know how being raw feels you should give it a try, it is life changing!
