How everyone's #morningcoffee☕️ should be...
So far, I'm quite lucky when it comes to the weather in #italy 👌
Only in the nights it gets cold (I don't have a heating system in my #t4 so really happy I'm not freezing to death in here) and during the day the 🌞 is out 90% of the time. Only had a few couple of days with a minimum amount of rain, but last night I couldn't really sleep for hours because of the heavy noise the raindrops made on the roof ☔
Didn't mind it at all. Felt so comfortable in my tiny #homeonwheels 🚙 It made me realise I have everything I need to live my life comfortable atm: a roof over my head to give me shelter, a fridge packed with food and water, a stove to prepare meals and make my morning coffee, electricity and an internet connection to do my work and of course my beloved @lifeofmila as the perfect companions for this #roadtrip ✌

Decompression • after the past two days spent dealing with the mechanical issues on the van in the middle of nowhere, I woke up before sunrise and drove a couple hours North to find the rest of the group plus a couple other vanagons that had joined on a beach near Loreto.
There, I cooked myself breakfast, went for a long swim/spear fishing with @go_rogue_explore (with no luck, it was mostly tropical fish which can't be fished, but what a treat to the eyes) and then crashed in my van for the best two-hour nap.
For all the shit those old vans can get you sometimes... moments like this make it undoubtedly worth it.
Omg goals 😍💦👌Share & tag your friends🤞 While we’ve been lounging around like the sickies we are, I’ve had some time to reflect on what an amazing year it’s been. To lift our sniffling spirits 🤧 I thought it’d be fun to share a favourite memory from 2018 each day leading up to New Years✨(thanks to for the idea). .
Memory is from this beautiful private beach in Oaxaca 🇲🇽. Just days before this snap was taken, our engine died while driving on a highway in Central Mexico and we thought that was the end of our journey. A tow truck back to Texas, a new engine and a 24 hour drive later 🚐, we found ourselves living our version of the dream HERE with some beautiful friends . .
It’s amazing how things always seem to happen for a reason. The bad times just make the good times that much sweeter and our time in Mexico is the perfect example of that! .
We cannot wait to take on another trip to this country by visiting Baja in the New Year. Do you have any travel plans for 2019?!

Vanlife backyards are the best! No mowing the grass, No watering, No maintenance, No property tax, just epic ever changing views...Who likes the sound of that?

Some of the best memories of our last trip involve loud waves, rain, fog, and Adeline being chilly but ohhh so happy!!🌧🚐 🌊
The inspiration lately has been unreal. It feels like we are finally moving in the right direction towards our goals. -
The shift for us has really been community. One of the best things you can do for yourself is to surround yourself with people that relate to you and inspire you. We’ve dove into the community of nomads head first, and have a new found motivation to get things moving (literally🚐). -
The next couple of months have a lot in store for us, and we’re ecstatic to share it all.
I read an article the other day, it said that more than half of older millenials drink Kombucha.
I knew almost nothing about this beverage except that I once saw a guy buying several bottles of it in a supermarket, and he had a mustache and wore an hawaiian shirt, and I was pretty sure he was the kind of guy saying that it's ok to go out with a Joy Division T-shirt as long as it's done ironically.
The problem is that I wear my Joy Division T-shirt in a totally non-ironic way (mainly because I don't know how to wear something ironically). Anyway, after that, I thought I wasn't trendy enough to drink kombucha myself.
But reading this article changed my mind, actually it was my DUTY as an older millenial to try kombucha. I want my future grand-children to know that I fully embraced that glorious millenial era when I was young(-ish).
Even if that meant drinking a beverage involving bacteria+yeast (=fungus). Don't get me wrong, I don't mind drinking fungus. I'm French, I was raised to eat disgusting stuff. As a kid, long before I became a vegetarian, my favorite meals involved snails, pigs feet and andouillette (I don't want to explain that one, you can look for yourself...). And I do believe that the more the cheese smells, the best it tastes #thatwassexy#frenchglamour
So it's not a bit of fungus that will scare me. I tried apple kombucha, and I'm happy I did. I think it's pretty good, and a great non-alcoholic alternative for apéro.

These are a few of my favorite things... But really #vanlife for me has always been a conduit for me to bring together all the things that make me happy, make me excited to get out of bed and live every moment of the day. -
One of my intentions this year is to see more sunrises and sunsets, because it makes me feel more in sync with nature's rhythm. -
There is also a drive to see places I've never been, and promote and educate conscious traveling, and sustainable ways of being in nature. -
Currently there has been a removal of National Park employee and funding- beautiful places we know and love are being threatened, do not visit parks,

Space, how do you know when you need to create space that is nurturing to your well-being? When do you need space from people, and better yet space from your partner you share a #smallhouse with? -
When you need to be utterly completely alone, you may feel triggered in frustration, or stress. Asking to have time alone is a declaration to taking care of your inner health. The practice of recognizing your needs and vocalizing them can be difficult, but an important practice. -
It also helps to bring conscious communication into your relationships (not only with a partner), it builds trust in one another. It is a practice to not take things personally, to not shame or guilt, when needs are being vocalized. It can be a conduit where love for self, and love for your partner is established. -

It’s been one week since we moved into our van. 2 kids, 2 adults and 1 dog...life is not that bad. More to come. #affueravida
WE BOUGHT OUR FIRST HOME!
Yes, it may look a little different than what you’d expect but this is our Amerivan dream 😉 We have been working our way towards vanlife for the past year.
Minimalism has been a part of our lives since we got married but a few months ago we sold everything we owned in order to start downsizing for vanlife.
We love going on random spontaneous road trips and now we can go or live wherever we want and always have our home with us! Living a tiny/simple life means investing in more experiences rather than tangible material things. The more stuff you own the more your stuff owns you.
We’re excited to have you all follow along while we build our home on wheels! Follow us @thehuntersvanlife to see all the updates! 🚐
