I hope you get lost sometimes.
I hope you ramble till your gaze grows fuzzy,
And all you can see is the next step you need to take.
I hope you look up and are surprised by your surroundings,
Expecting to find yourself elsewhere.
Yet soaking up the splendor you wouldn’t have discovered,
Had you not drifted far off-route.
I hope you follow a spur, mistaking it for the trail,
Resolve to spend the night somewhere unplanned,
And wake up to sunrise at an unknown lake,
It’s where you needed to be all along.
I hope you roam an unrecognizable road
And go one mile further in the wrong direction
And then - maybe -
I hope you decide not to turn back, after all.
I once met up with my family five hours later than expected.
“What took you so long?” my mother asked,
“I got lost” I replied.
“Oh no! I’m sorry that happened!” she responded in dismay,
“I’m not,” I said.
If she had only seen
The goodness I’d found
While wandering around
One day I was delivering a sofa bed to this dude in a third story San Francisco apartment. Obviously feeling bit awkward watching us lug this behemoth up the narrow stairs he starts confessing he didn't want the stupid thing, his wife's idea, blah, blah, blah.... I just looked at him and asked, " you know what are used to call "sofa beds" back in the day?
Fucking couches." This is my Fucking Couch AKA Crash Pad aboard the #toyotanarwhal
Also future home to a mini wood burner and brass support pole for exotic dancers with inner ear infections
Something something about the road less traveled... whatever, I’ve always been against the grain & to be honest it’s not that glamorous (note second photo of me changing an alternator in bum fuck no where NV) I’ve been itching to hit the road again however to make all the things I’ve been dreaming of & get back out there, I’ve gotta hunker down. I’m not sure if it’s because the New Year is approaching or because I finally have perspective on being stationary again but I’ve got some clear goals ahead of me. Between now & June I hope to have a new collection of work, a shoot planned at @knoebels & @longwoodgardens, a trip to South Africa with @_uhse to shoot my Lucky Ones collection the way I’ve imagined it for years, & a clearer path to buying a permanent home somewhere. 🔹
This journey has been a wild one. Trying to separate work from play, personal work from money making, vintage from jewelry, my sweet boy Westley to being the OZMA mascot. Fuck it guys, all of it lives here, together, because it’s all me! So, say hello to Abbey whose been with me for two years & the last photo of a Chevy Chalet that’s rare as fuck. This guy picked me up hitch hiking down in Mendocino a week after I bought Abbey and my station wagon broke down. There were only 1800 of these Chalets made & the sweet old man who scooped me salvaged this one from a field after sitting for 12 years!
To continue this journey come find me @shipjohn today with some rad folks slinging the things that drive their inspiration! 🔹

Cheezy and I argued for awhile about warm versus cool lights in our #skoolieconversion. In the end, I’m glad we went with warm (he was right) because it just makes the ambiance so much more relaxed.
On another note, this is the last photo we took with Scarlet Begonias still in her cone. Fortunately, her allergies & itchiness have gotten SO much better since we left the Willamette Valley and hit the road🐾
A little sunshine, salt water & open highway have us all feeling 👌🏼" - @farmpunks
Great choice on the lights! Looks great! And super cozy! We love all the different colors and textures mixed in throughout your tiny home. Glad to hear puppers and you are feeling better after a little more driving. Live Simply ✌️
